Agree .. the only problem with Lian Li is their marketing that is fairly weak..

If they try to establish their brand like Cooler Master and Thermaltake did in the past by doing exhibition at PC Fair and some demo machine during games competition ..

Surely the sales would grows much more ...

QUOTE(lehteck @ Oct 18 2007, 04:30 PM)
But price always the most expensive tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
hmm that depend how u value an item ..

just like comparing a proton car against Honda or Toyota..

It's about 35% more expensive but many people still buy it and the number increasing ..

It's the perception of the item that matter to the person ... I would never go back to SECC no matter what ..

it's feather light compared to SECC for sure comparing the same design for both case...

Too deeply fall in love with the classic, sleek aluminum feels...

QUOTE(LExus65 @ Oct 18 2007, 05:27 PM)
Lian Li models are not as stylish as CM ......... too plain for many ppl........and the name is rather haha for most ppl too...........
*
It's not, but the V-series still one of the best looking and designed aluminum case out there .. and it's favorite of lots of people that wish to or had already own one ..

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Oct 18 2007, 07:48 PM)
But I have to disagree (won't expect anything else right tongue.gif )... Lian Li's attraction is in it's understatement... and it's sorta like a cult thing.

Coolermaster on the other hand is mainstream... what's the difference between a coolermaster and an icute or whatever relabel brand these days anyway? I always maintained that they lost the plot after the demise of the ATCS (which now became Silverstone)
*
Totally agree, I had that CM Praetorian before and it's really the most solid aluminum case that ever designed before TJ-07 and TJ-09/10..

If not because of the restrictive 8cm fans both front and rear... I wouldn't end up with LL..

Probably Lian Li should invent a dust filter for rom slot as well ...

since u would clean the front case filter .. so add in a filter over ur rom slot should make u clean that filter as well ..hahahaha

nice reminding people about it .. I usually clean my case every once a month ... always keep it out from dust accumulation ..

I'm sensitive to dust .. so whenever spot dust pile up .. definitely gonna clean it .

uglyvamp is back, nice A71 there..........make me itchy to get 1 to play around too......

more photo please, really like to see how the interior looks like with all the bling bling hardware inside
*
hahah ... be satisfied with ur stacker lah ...

besides the exterior looks of stacker better than A71 ....

It only wins internally due to it's size and new features ..

QUOTE(Downcast @ Oct 21 2007, 11:23 AM)
One question here, the transparent side panel included? o u mod urself?
*
It should be the stock side panel .. coz the way the rivets are installed and there's no shinning edge along the window shows it's never been altered before ..

you are referring to the rom slot that has got lots of hole right ?

if that's what u are looking for it's not available for sale ..

it's the stock slot for PC-A16 only ..

however Uncle Ianho could do something very similar if he still got left some mesh grill ...

hmm it's really tall about the same height like a two door shelf..

But it has the spaces to work without hassle ..

however that's if u need to change or likes to change ur hardware frequently and manage the cables within .. else a standard ATX would be fine most of the occasion.

The side panel ... if not mistaken it wasn't mod cos our brother here doesn't bother much about window ...

u should see his previous GT-7 setup, gao gao UV inside but no window to display the goodie within...

Don't know how much would inter-asia offer ....

It still a good case with lots of new features .. but a bit expensive given the size and thickness of the case ...

but who know .. unless anyone could get it from some where else ..

BS-02 with side panel works the best .. .it could cool off hot graphic card like 8800GTS and 2900XT 5c lower immediately for both idle and load condition.

The frame allowed u to position the fan horizontally based on the need ..

The thumb screws is to hold the fan to the frame and it's only compatible with that particular fan comes with the fan bracket.

U could swap the fan but u can't use the thumb screw to mount the fan .. however any M4 bolt and nut would do the job as well ...

hhmm .. from my experience with single card it would be better to put it as intake .. even some other people that I suggested the same configuration report better result with intake than exhaust ..

but that's for single card configuration and probably it might not be the same for exhaust ..
