QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 11 2020, 03:06 PM) Just want to ask anyone here, I am planning to subscribe to Unifi Air but they keep insisting that my area have no coverage. Just go to TMPoint Office (not TAD / Reseller / Agent) and ask for Unifi AIR. When they deny registration, just say you needed it badly and you agree on all terms & conditions, which means you will agree that TM had warned about no-coverage status and if it happens to be your Unifi AIR is deemed unusable in future such as congestion or any infrastructure goes up interfering Unifi AIR coverage, you will not seek for compensation / rebate / discount; plus penalty waiver will not be considered.I have been stuck with 4 Mbps Screamyx which is a torture for me and I do hope I get the upgrade to Unifi Air. I have tested my area with my Note10+ and iPad Pro and yes my area already have Band 40 activated this month. So I can get a really fast speed up to 80 Mbps in the morning, but they keep saying I cannot upgrade to it due to no coverage. So how I can solve this? I should have no problem to subscribe to Unifi Air rite? Seriously I cannot stand that 4 Mbps sampahmyx speed anymore. Incase if you lodge MCMC of such issue in future and seeking for repayment, TM can counter with your willingness in such agreement. This post has been edited by Daniel Hyuuga: Jun 18 2020, 08:03 PM |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 18 2020, 10:08 PM) ![]() ![]() Nevermind. I have decided not to sign any contract with them. After discussing with all of you in this forum, I will continue my SIM only plan and already bought Huawei B818 modem as my modem. So I can cancel anytime. Will cancel Streamyx tomorrow. This is the speed I get with UniFi Air, hotspot from iPad Pro 10.5. Finally I can watch Netflix in 4K which is not possible at all using my Streamyx. Edit: Oh I forgot to add, surprisingly the TM people help me to register this UniFi Air as smooth as possible. At first they did not allow me a few weeks ago, then after I show the speed I get with my Unifi Mobile speed, they let me. Did not ask much. And today the TM people call me to follow up how was the speed and want to proceed with modem bundle or not, I said way faster than Streamyx of course and will buy my own modem. And they ask me to come to TM Point tomorrow to start with the cancellation of Streamyx effective immediately. Finally I am so happy to get a fibre like speeds for download which I have been stuck with slow Streamyx speeds for 10 years. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 19 2020, 01:18 PM) Same like me. Seems nearby area there is Band 40 towards Taman Tasek Seremban, but no congestion is seen around Centerpoint. Guess your case is really lucky. But my place stuck with 4 Mbps Streamyx. As long as this Unifi Air is able to give 20 Mbps speed is enough for me. Way better than my sampahmyx. So unstable and high ping every night. No need PM. Search for Centerpoint Seremban. My house is within that area. |

QUOTE(focusrite @ Jun 27 2020, 03:50 PM) https://shopee.com.my/Huawei-B-818-263-4-Ca...7898.6122544789 818 is better than 618, and selling cheaper because non-known model to people here in MY, probably. Better ask that seller.can anyone explain why this 818 is selling for even cheaper than the b618? I'm so confused by all the different prices and variance in models. |

QUOTE(sky96 @ Jun 30 2020, 12:35 PM) ![]() date : May 13 2020, check unifi air coverage, got covered (almost) [url=https://pictr.com/image/7aZnvD [/url]Now, no coverage. why lol... either a glitch or somebody didn't do their work properly haha Now here's the thing, i use unifi mobile here, the LTE signal is full, speed is around 8-9Mbps as expected. Youtube 4K pon lepas punya. Does unifi air coverage be the same as mobile? Can still use Unifi AIR regardless but risk slower than streamyx is real. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jul 20 2020, 12:19 PM) There is a possibility that TM might cap the speed to a certain level. could be any telco's tower.Mine even not on peak hours I get maximum 70 Mbps. Never exceed the speed beyond 70 Mbps. Even on peak hours I still get a range of 60 Mbps max. And I did try to put the SIM inside my Note10+, it seeems it still hovers at maximum 70 Mbps. I literally test it really near the tower. |
