ThinkPad T495 for 3700u, onboard ram only max 8gb but can add 16gb soDIMM.....

Upgrade to 5300U can optional from 8 to 16gb onboard.
And extra 16gb = 32gb total

Wah, that’s bad. Limiting the upgradability of the PC. Also harder to match dual channel RAM of same size.

Lenovo offer for certain model only.
Except those like workstation or T490 got 2 ram slot for you to add on or select on site.

Actually not required to match like 8x2 or 16x2 , for latest ram running with total of combination capacity of Ram

onboard already 8gb, u add another 8gb probably the max your laptop could use. even my gaming pc with 16gb ram running vmware (4gb ram) with 3 monitors, 20+ chrome tabs could barely fill it. laptop lagi la susah mao utilize.
also, most of my office pc upgraded from 4 to 8gb (4+4) since the ram is cheap now and all running different brand but dual channel interleaved

actually what is the difference between X395, T495 and T495s?

X395 = 13.3” at 1.27kg,ram 16gb soldered onboard Max.
T495 = 14” at 1.5kg ram 16 soldered and 16 add on.
T495s MY not available, except in SG, weight 1.27kg 14” 16gb onboard max.

i read website it say T495s is more elegant than T495? why ar?

Slim chassis, malaysia not available for this model.
Cannot comparison between both
