You can visit this site to check whether Lenovo has applied license from SIRIM, which should also mean they applied for import license, or at least applying for it very soon. Just key in the serial number from your OVP page to check. My approved date is Nov 1 btw. I didn't spent a dime to get the 32gb single ram. So I upgraded to 16gb.
