If you want make the trackpoint useful you need adjust the sensitivity to highest.

Apacer and Silicon Power are cheapest I think for external ssd. Internal to replace nvme m2 I suggest you stick with Samsung 970 evo/plus more expensive but more trusted for boot. Overseas reviews gave 2 other brands but they either not available or not cheap for external ssd. I am talking about Adata sd700 and G-Drive ssd. I am looking for some cheap ssd too. I recently bought orico(sp) nvme enclosure.

Most major manufacturers are okay for day to day usage.
The ones I avoid are those 3rd tier China brand stuff.

My brother runs a 660p QLC on his gaming PC
Don't see him complaining.
