Just park here for future ThinkBook 13s users interested to know if PD charging works. (still no answer). Thinkbook 13s-IWL + PowerBankThinkBook 13s (portable charging)Using usb-c to square charger (should read this):CODE This is certainly possible, those angled adapters are very hit and miss (ive had nothing but trouble with em) but the cables are very good! You need a hefty powerbank with at least 65w output. For a long read check this out; A little review and heads up on USB-C to (slim) barrel power cables. This post has been edited by kuci_mayong: Oct 14 2019, 10:49 AM

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Oct 14 2019, 11:22 AM) Correct bro... But its a torture to keep checking everyday for 1 1/2 to 2 months no? Actually this deals only make sense for those that already have a main laptop/PC and can wait. Those need a laptop fast no choice but buy retail price.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Oct 14 2019, 10:23 PM) Why didn’t use Lenovo vantage ? I just share batterybar in Lenovo bargain club WhatsApp group 😬 I still use the batterybar till today, since few month ago you shared. Quite good, even tells you how long till your laptop fully charge.

QUOTE(ohman @ Oct 15 2019, 09:11 AM) When your x1 carbon, x1 extreme looks like an old T460 Then you need to expand the product line. Edit 15 inch with new 10nm cpu! But using same battery 45wh this second gen comes with usb-c charging too i think, based on those articles.

QUOTE(ohman @ Oct 15 2019, 09:19 AM) 2020 would be a great year to buy laptop with all the new 10nm cpu coming Especially if can get those sweet Lenovo MADNESS deals. Like that can change laptop every few months now. Last time the in thing was changing phone every year, in future Lenovo will change that to changing laptop every year.

QUOTE(ohman @ Oct 15 2019, 09:34 AM) Used phone easier to sell. Used laptop i have no idea Anything can sell, its just most people no time and quite busy. Had this friend wanted to throw out an IKEA chair which he got for RM250 many years ago, told him you should sell, in the end he manage sell for RM80. Money is still money. QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Oct 15 2019, 09:38 AM) The line is still new. Wait for it. AMD is getting traction in the laptop market right now. The amd thinkpad is their best seller. Sure they will expand to the thinkbook line. Even new microsoft surface is launching with amd. Yeah, i always see on reddit and youtube comments, people commenting "waiting for amd on this and then i'll buy one"

I was fiddling around Lenovo Vantage and found the upgrade warranty section, seems there is price difference and duration between both Malaysia and Singapore (depends which region you buy the warranty). For example if you take Malaysia lowest option Carry-in Warranty, you get 3 years at RM229, while singapore is only 2 years at SG$65 (RM198.80) But if you go for 4 years Carry-in Warranty, Malaysia is RM1445, while Singapore is SG$230 (RM703.46). A lot of difference. This post has been edited by kuci_mayong: Oct 15 2019, 10:36 AM

QUOTE(Benefon @ Oct 15 2019, 10:50 AM) Sad right after huge sales the warranty no longer is free for Rm1 from on-site to premier warranty anymore Yeap and you still save a lot if add the warranty in the beginning instead of later. My time didn't have the RM1 option, i bought the T495 with citibank 45%, so means even i add, it would have just discounted the total bill. So with warranty would have been RMâ€2,825.9‬ (if added the warranty that time when i bought it), as oppose to RM2,700.85 (without adding the warranty). So warranty would have been RMâ€125.05‬ if i added that time when i bought it with the discount, instead of pay now RM229 for the additional 2 years warranty.

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Oct 15 2019, 11:14 AM) nah if itchy because they alot of money but usually people will change only if their notebook breaks down because newer just minor upgrade wont significant like a desktop. Even me never consider a notebook upgrade my DELL already 4 years+ buy because can get 13S for 1k. i don't usually upgrade a lot too, maybe every 2-3 year intervals. I have family member still using the same laptop after 6 years.
