QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 4 2007, 10:15 PM) nah, there is some jokers making fun of wiras.. by saying sohai wira along the threadQUOTE(Vervain @ Jul 4 2007, 10:19 PM) guys, was wondering a few things. i've read through wiki, but was wondering if someone can share some bible knowledge on Mivec s. Apparently, i only know Mivec MD and RS. Are there anymore different batch for the 4g92 engines? some comes with silvertop. some with black tops. which is which? regarding the MIVEC thingy, as far as i know for 1st generation (wira/satria), MIVEC RS n normal version, as well as black n silvertop all is the same thing..one more thing, i saw one satria changed the front look with a evo bonnet and a good looking bumper. if not mistaken, it looks somewhat similar to gen 2. and th whole car is black matted. just wanna confirm on the gen 2 bumper fitted into wira. is it possible? thanks RS stand for Rally Sport which the car body is actually lighter compare with other (sacrificing some feature).. black n silver top merely for u to know which is newer i think.. MD is modulated displacement which means only 2 cylinder will be functioning at certain low rpm for fuel saving.. nontheless, all the 4G92 MIVEC has 175BHP as claim by mitsubishi.. reason why people is not goin for MD is because the ecu tend to be problematic n cost hefty sum of money to repair regarding the bumper, i dunno coz i keep my car as stock as posibble QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jul 4 2007, 10:27 PM) 5.8k for MIVEC auto0.7k for rear disc (needed to pass jpj) 0.1k for K&N look-alike air filter 0.7k for 2.0" exhaust twintip 0.7k for 15" recond rim with new tyre 1.75k for installation total 9.75k for tranplant that is for Auto.. for manual? for sure more than that coz i've inquired manual for 6.5k on average.. i choose auto coz my place always jam n i love auto QUOTE(kazami13 @ Jul 4 2007, 10:48 PM) of course 1.6 lar it is 4G92 MIVECanyway, wat kind of 1.6 or 4g92 u using? 4g92 mivec, 4g92 dohc or 4g92p (which is sohc) bro... wat is the forum talking about... i cant view it... let talk about it here read above post for that the forum talking about QUOTE(shinjite @ Jul 4 2007, 11:42 PM) ya, n it is AUTO damn, my foreman charge me another rm250 for changing the 2nd gearbox coz the 1st gearbox slipping at gear 3 n 4 |

QUOTE(Arkaine @ Jul 12 2007, 10:20 AM) Also confused here.... if the PDT thing is used to restore the siemens ecu factory setting..... than some says... even we tune siemens ecu or add piggyback it will return back to factory setting.... then what is the use of PDT in the first place??? read above post pdt can check ur engine stability.. in case anything wrong with ur engine, the device can straight away check for the problem rather than other mech who test items 1 by 1, thus wasting customer money QUOTE(sqwerk2 @ Jul 13 2007, 05:45 PM) ![]() hey guys, need to know how much does it cost for me to replace the circled part in the pic above. sumone tried to pry open this, i dunno y, now the parts holding it are broken. damn p/s: i am driving a wira SE |

dont waste so much money on the so called stabiliser bar.. instead, go for better brakes, suspension etc.. if ur car is wira 1.3, try to change front solid disc brake to ventilated disc.. most also buy a front, fender, rear only.. others i heard is lebih punya

QUOTE(lee831219 @ Aug 11 2007, 10:01 AM) the bar depend how u using mah.. if normal driving only den the front and rear is more than enuff d.... each bar also got their own function 1... it won simply come out wif nth function 1... but the thing is, is the functionality of the bar obvious?does that really help? if not, that means it is bad investment.. besides, those bar doesnt come cheap like i said, make some survey for bars which delivers best performance.. no point getting room bar, lower room bar etc as it doesnt really help much |

QUOTE(young_soul @ Aug 11 2007, 12:44 PM) I didn't try lower arm bar...but bought front and rear bars instead. The bar helps a great deal for me. What's wrong with making the car more firm during corners or high speed? The functionality of the bar was very obvious actually, on ANY bars you purchase. Why? Because Proton quality is very bad and you know it. They lack in a lot of areas that we don't know...you need to be an engineer for that. it is like saying why buy proton knowing the risk in teh 1st place The standard car we're all driving is actually borderline sufficient to get from point A to point B. Let's take the engine for example. Do you know how underpowered a 1.3 engine is for a car as heavy as the Wira? It sucks and my 1985 Ford Lazer (1.3 also) can go faster than this junk. I don't know about suspension or anything else but I'm sure that these minor upgrades are necessary depending on the way you drive. Just ask yourself this question...would you want to continue driving your car knowing the tyres are completely worn out? I mean worn until the threads cannot be seen and is at risk of exploding anytime? It is still "borderline sufficient" to get you home QUOTE(jssim @ Aug 11 2007, 11:40 PM) i tested my fren's car with those full set stabiliser bar & roll cage + adjustable suspension.....almost muntah on the way from kepong to cheras by mrr2 .....damn bumpy....but...really good handling....it will also effect on ur brakes indirectly... bumpy-ness caused by stiff absorber.. nothing to do with the bars.. but that definitely contributing to loose parts sooner or later.. like ngek ngek sound come from nowhere btw...juz want to share...i do remove my power steering on my car....it really feel more powerful & lower fc....but...die loh when i parking~~ removing power steering is the most 'powderful' changes i ever heard no offence |
