QUOTE(GKWong @ Sep 27 2007, 09:21 PM) You grounded your alternator, and player? Are you having any amplifier? Maybe can try to change your RCA cable to a unshieled twisted pair type if you are connecting your audio device with that. A noise supressor capacitor also can be installed and ground it to the body. ya, i use the rough 8awg for grounding both player n alternator btw, what do u mean by unshielded twisted pair type? haha, noob here..

QUOTE(binary @ Oct 1 2007, 10:21 AM) Thanks for the advice. I guess better save money for my KN&N air filter. u saw the micro compressor in garage sale leh QUOTE(young_soul @ Oct 1 2007, 10:51 AM) hey, not sure if you guys can help me or not. My car seems to have uneven braking. Twice already...I brake (not so) hard and only the left front tyre locked. The tyres are only 1 year old and got plenty of thread. Is there something I can do so that it doesn't lock again? worst case scenario, u ned to overhaul ur brake kit coz maybe the piston jam.. check if there is any oil leak

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Oct 3 2007, 01:48 PM) if I'm not mistaken, the thermometer controls the engine cooling system isn't it? The thermometer broke on my parent's Saga...and the mechanic say it won't survive outstation trip coz the engine won't know when to turn off the cooling when necessary...might freeze some parts...or was it overheat them no.. thermometer juz let u know ur current temp.. come on man, u ned +-2degree celcius to freeze water even ur aircond imposibble to reach that XD besides, ur engine is creating heat.. n the coolant absorb heat from the engine (a massive heat).. freeze? i doubt btw, the thermometer im talking about in the pic is the external thermometer module to test the heat, not the engine heat

QUOTE(shinjite @ Oct 3 2007, 02:12 PM) yeah...I had a friend removed his thermostat, need to start 3 times then only can ignite the engine QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Oct 3 2007, 02:21 PM) I'm not too sure either...but the mechanic say thermostat is needed to tell engine when to do this, do that...if rosak, better dun use outstation drive. Its still broken now...repair is costly and we don't plan to use that car outstation. Can use my car now does that means the flow of the coolant of a car is variable? something like processor where ur proc speed is variable depending on ur load?

QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Oct 3 2007, 07:05 PM) variable as in move or dont move only... u cannot control the fluid speed.... when thermostat opens, the coolant moves from engine to radiator n back to engine again... when the temperature drops to a certain level, thermostat closes and coolant stays wherever it is.... thus, coolant/water temperature remains almost at constant level.... really? wow, i thought it will run no matter the engine is cooled or hot..
