i went to those non-authorized workshop and some did have the diagnostic tool but i not sure the tuning is correct or not
MMC can be tune but siemens cant.

There's no such thing as tuning our stock ecu. As Nicotine have mentioned, the pdt diagnostic device is only for monitoring purpose, it does not 'tune' our ecu.

yeap cars on year 2000 or later which came with mmc ecu.. can be tune by others workshop but not the ecu of coz.. mechanic can adjust the air intake, set the distributor to advance or retard setting only ... correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, the word tuning is a very subjective term my friend. The pdt is just a monitoring device, whether it has the ability to reset the ecu to factory setting or not, i'm not sure. Take the 1.3GLi (without rpm gauge) for example; if the idling is too high/low, the mechanic will adjust accordingly until the engine reaches a healthy idling speed by checking the pdt. Or if the 'check engine' light is on, they will use the pdt to diagnose the engine fault such as sensor failure, etc...

But I don't think so the pdt is able to tune the stock ecu.

See, your post said it all. Setting the distributor, carburetor air-fuel ratio, or even a simple job like adjusting the idling adjuster screw can be considered as "engine tune up" smile.gif

Also confused here.... if the PDT thing is used to restore the siemens ecu factory setting..... than some says... even we tune siemens ecu or add piggyback it will return back to factory setting.... then what is the use of PDT in the first place???

pdt can check ur engine stability.. in case anything wrong with ur engine, the device can straight away check for the problem rather than other mech who test items 1 by 1, thus wasting customer money

try those accessories shops like Brothers. They have lots of parts for Wira, but I didn't see the original grills. Original bumpers got though.

impossible hit sumthing, coz when u hit sumthing the most obvious affected part would be the bumper or the hood first not the grill. i'm talking bout the inner plastics component that is holding the grill together behind it. its all broken as if like sumone tried to pry the thing open.
