The reason why it is that cheap is because Tencent subsidizes the phone via advertisements (similar method to how Amazon can subsidize flagships via the Prime edition phones)

China phones don't have pre-installed Google but it's easy to add them

Using redmi note 4x with China rom with self installed Google play, etc... but I must say I don't play games so no idea about safetynet

global rom got Google bloat + OEM bloat... while China rom got more OEM China bloat... end up about the same je both eating up memory

Finger cross, I not sure software update will be buttery smooth like Huawei. My experience with samsung always bad. The update always make battery degraded e.g. SOT getting shorter on everytime update. For Huawei, so far so good nothing issue coming out. If Huawei planning to use harmonyOS I might push my trigger for Rog2 12gb memory for 3 years usage.
