Sputnik - Something good to watch year 2020 Russian movie. I do hope they have sequel but I doubt about it. 3.5 Star.

plot - 3.5/5 - movie about a group of trained rangers charging into african poachers to rescue a governor's daughter
sound effect - 3.5/5 explosive with gunshots are plenty in the fire exchange scene.
picture - 3/5 African wildlife looks fantastic, some CGIs where use to create animals (not so great thou). There's an scene where couple of them jumping from a cliff but quite obvious to tell its taken using green backdrop.

Megan fox is back! This round she is a ranger.. her acting is not superb, the story line also surrounding her as the lead female actress but with no romance in this one. The illogically part on this is the aura surrounding her. Almost all of her teammates almost got killed and barely survived, she is intact with minor bruises

Not exactly a bad movie but definitely not a good one either. If you like Megan, you gonna watch this.

RIP Black Panther role actor Chadwick Bozeman...

CUT OFF 2018 is good german psycho crime thriller.

like good crime stories, u r puzzled a bit about what is really going on in the beginning; many suspects; and all the truth is revealed only towards the end.

rotten tomatoes give it 5/5... i will give it 3.5/5.

Peninsula 2020 is a korean zombie movie but has nothing to with Train to Busan.

nothing new or creative in the story but has plenty of car chases and even faster zombies.

in some ways, it looked much like a mad max movie. 2.5/5



Bill & Ted Face the Music is the 3rd rendition of this old comedy series.

although it is a bit nonsensical but is good fun, more so if u had watched the firs t2.

action star keeanu reeves manages to do ok in a comedy still! 3/5.

i m only halfway done with Peninsular...the more korean action movie i watched the more i feel they are doing their national car advertisement.. audi quattro also kalah their suv

sound effect - 4/5 - movies full of BGM but no songs. very unusual for cartoon -> anime conversion film. reasonable lfe in war & battle scenes.
picture - 4/5 very beautiful picture. very rich in color.. i cant tell if its real scene or cgi. Typical disney product. thumbs up

Above average movie for no brainier. Very heavy film unlike regular Disney carton to human conversion film.

If i m going to be picky i would say the points below are unreasonable (may contain spoiler)

Mulan - 4 Star.



This Mulan was shot astonishing beautiful in scenery! Freaking nice cinematography! I give cinematography 10 out of 10, 5 Star!

They had make some changes and I think it is a good change.

Following may contain some movie spoiler.

This film just fall in the wrong timing, I am pretty sure it is expensive and with current situation not able to air on cinema in most country, I think this film probably will lost money.

It is not exactly like the animation but to me it is a very well done.

I just watched it.

This Mulan cost $200 mil!

Director is a kiwi.... they asked Ang Lee and Jiangwen, both declined.

Maybe becos of that, you see some overblown colors like bollywood and less genuine costumes.

It is also apparent to me there is a lot of cgi, incl the palace... which i think are mostly shots from the forbidden city in beijing but with colors, tones and other details changed with digital magic.

Overall, i thought it was well done, incl the fighting sequences.

Apparently, Liu Yifei was selected play mulan from 1,000 actresses.

And there are veterans donnie yen, gong li, jet li, chang peipei... and jason scott lee, rosalind chao, tzi ma, what's not to like?!

4/5. Sequel planned.

I really can't recognise The Emperor was Jet Li...

Me as well, I was shock Jet Li name appear in end credit, I re-watch back the emperor and still cannot recognize him. Haha!

looks like middle age crisis has put some weight on him..only a week ago i watched this old film from Jet Li.

The mustache also the reason he can't be recognised. Haha!
