Example, snickers and clothes. Any brand x brand , as long as its premium, will have buyers and scalpers.

Make it rm5 per hour, with top of the class gaming chairs and equipment. Build partiton rooms for 5 v 5, for tourneys. Have maids walking around with drinks or food for sale.

yo in shah alam cc got business there yo. all mid high end pc and peripherals, iinm rm8 for 3hrs. some also come to study/do assignment

when my friend gather together we will gather there just to play lan games and curse each other

Still making money, especially those at hotspot locations. But definitely not as much as during the golden era around mid 2000's.

kch cc rm2 gizmo using 1050ti and 1070 gc... not bad. chair also gaming chairs but dono wad brand..

operated 10 cyber cafes in past 8 years, today all already closed down.

it wasn't in Malaysia but in Cambodia.

nowadays the trend is changing, from pc games to mobile games, your customers will be mostly 80s and early 90s people

but most the 80s people already busy with work and some busy with with family already, so less people will have time to sit in your cc and play all day

gamers nowadays have short attention span issues, a lot of mobile games creators recognize this and makes the games short 10-15 minutes instead of the usual 30-60 minute per game round

BUT there is still opportunity in doing a cyber cafe, you have to make it a esports center, not a typical cyber cafe.

Have good gaming chairs, razer gears, nice 24 inch monitors 2 units per pc, some pc with sofa for those who spend over nights, can charge like rm30-50 night package

Custom rooms with glass views and podium like competition times, 5v5 settings.

Get organizers to use your place to host competitions, your place will be filled with customers after it gets popular.

In short you can't go cheap ghetto style anymore if you want to make money.

im in this setup bussiness, to be frank the bussiness is still relevant in fact that this biz is depend where and what kind setup u wanna give to customer

I have seen a few videos of Cyber cafe in Taiwan, China & Korea. They can even stay there if they wanted to as some even have capsule beds. Some even have gym inside. Its like a scaled modern club house that used to be popular hang out of old people. Sample is like this below.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. These kinda CCs will not work here. The mentality here are just filled with back-watered fucktards. Beds? Gyms? Shower rooms? Actual food cafe? How the hell are workers going to keep them clean all the time when the people using it have near zero understanding of how civilization works?

I mean, something as simple as enforcing people to stop smoking at no-smoking areas is like the harder than reaching the moon, yet to expect these same asshats to keep clean in a CC like this? Yeah, no.

normal cc is not profitable nowadays due to several reasons
1. mobile games
2. console games

suggestion
1. include console in ur cc
2. provide top tier hardware
3. provide f&b services
4. provide rooms for group plays

if providing such services in malaysia, with our low class mindset, most probably will ended up kena vandalize, steal etc

I tried to find cc that have ps4 to play rpg games.

Most of console house only have fifa, or fighting games. If got rpg games, maybe i'll binge and since rpg game is a long hours game, i will be a regular customer to finish the game and take overnight package too.
