My wife got this call, I said ok begrudgingly. We went today. Turns out I wasn't qualified as I was a work permit holder. But, they let me stay for the first 30 minutes so I could eat and drink as promised before being asked to leave.
So...
When we arrived we had to, 'register' which is a form making sure you are who you say you are. Greeted by a team of attractive Chinese staff. Went inside, first thing that hits you is a life size model car and a Durian display and lots of info about the drain boom as everyone called it.
I had choice of (I quote), "intro drinks".
This was at 11:30 ish.
We took a brief look around to discover an overload of information. Could have been interesting if didn't have a plane to catch tomorrow and packing was more on my mind. Suffice to say it was ok.
Then, 12 iso the caterers started food. At least we had a private table and didn't have to sit with strangers. The food was good, so was the coffee.
After the food I was ushered out polity and I got my car draw card, 200 Rignit for the wife and a vacation thing to fill in my request.
Durians are not my thing but others seems to be helping themselves.
Event wasn't my cup of tea but others seemed to be ok. Got what I wanted, left early and unharmed so don't have much more to say. Holiday thing seems genuine enough after a few questions but time will tell.

If somebody are out there can clarify these, i will be happy to go, if not sure then i dont.

Some scam uses company to attract their modal into benefits, once you trapped forever you'll be regretted.

I could be wrong but I think what they trying to do here is gather money to launch a durian farming... Where you could invest (in lot). They try to say how lucrative is durian return and potential is. And have acquired a large piece land from government (to make u think it won't be a scam).

I recieved a call from number I didn't know amd spoke to a nice lady called Siti, she asked me some questions about my age and income and said I had been invited to go to an event in Mid Valley. I went to event, and they told me about the Musang King products being exported by our farmers , which I found very intresting . I got my free food sedap and also left with my 200 ringit shopping voucher and holiday voucher. I have already booked my trip to Phuket for later in the year.

I thought it sounded to good to be true but I was glad I went. It was defintely worth 90 minutes, the only problem was parking driving round looking for space for while.

May I know where is the event? I had a similar call but they did not tell me the venue. Which part of Mid Valley?

Hi.. i received a call on Thursday evening for the said durian expo @ mv.. the caller said i will get an email in 15 mins but nothing. Contacted your hotline on Friday, she said will drop an email but still nothing..

While I cannot comment on the status of this post you refer to, I can confirm that feedback of this nature is a common occurrence with incentivized events.

I will not comment further on your post other than to say, there is no scam needed. Advertising (be it a page in a publication, a mass media blast on tv / radio or an incentive to trail a product) is paid by corporations to benefit the public for future financial gain of the corporation sponsoring the incentives.

It seems a shame that blind libeling of any local person’s business without valid reason may be nothing more than our human nature of reveling in bad news rather than good. However, Snr. Management has been approached by staff of Expo Media and more disappointingly one lovely local family who owns a business we promote because their young children has been ridiculed in their school for being, “scammers” after connecting our banner at their event with your comments. This is very distressing for the families concerned as I am sure that any mother or father here could understand?

Finally, we hope that those whom have maligned without base would find it in their hearts to consider the painful implications of your anonymous words. With that in mind, may we thank you for your time to read.

Got call from this and went to mid valley to understand what is this about, we are being told the event will takes 90mins and after that we will get smart watch as return, know what ended up we been there for 4 hours listening instead of 90 mins not just that, after we finished the 4hrs listening when we expecting to get the smart watch in return but they handed us a redemption voucher which we will need to buy stamp and send this over to MBE @ Avenue K to redeem the voucher then have to pay additional RM29 for the insurance fees for delivery. then after paid the fees and waited for a month still doesn't get any thing not even a tracking number or update. Today i received the email that tells my order was out of stock. I was pissed off.

I received the same calls. Luckily did some research & bumped into the posts here by the forumers. In the end, play airplane with the scammer, said kena contact B Covid-19 & can't attend last minute, need to self quarantine. Maybe next time only lar (give face to nicely turned them away but they pretend dumb & asked when will my quarantine be over, niamah betul).

They are very persistance. You blocked the numbers already, they will use another number, keep on blocking, they will use other number & new name. Guess during covid-19, scammer also susah cari makan, lol.

Thinking of it, you won't know there will be any MK profited from the investment 6~7 years down the road. Better invest in something you have control over it.

recently same thing just poped up.. is this scam / pyramid / mlm / etc.?

Normally when I get these calls, first thing, I will fark them upside down loudly and rudely, how they get my phone number as I treat it as spam calls.

I believe they have blacklist list.
Now i rarely received any scam call, because everytime i will lipot scammer
