Don't want to waste my previous time pursuing the, since I'm already now ported to their prepaid just 2 months ago. I've better things to do. If really the DiGi staff was lying to me, they won't be seeing this customer ever again when I port out in future.

I don't want to go through all the trouble and time again in future to port from other telco->DiGi Postpaid-> DiGi Prepaid anymore.

Since they only pick VIP members selectively and make potential customers go through all sorts of trouble, I would find a more welcoming telco that doesn't discriminate and treat everyone more fairly with their offers.

Okay. Just telling the option..
Choice is yours...

So how about others part..
Like network performance? Stability?.
Sucks like their staff or acceptable?
*
Network performance is fine no complaints. Only thing not happy is their preferential treatment by selection.

Went through all the trouble to port from other telco->Postpaid->Prepaid only to be treated like other has been saying a "SLAP" on the face. You saw the kind of BOS offers I'm getting which is a total turn off.

Mine is worst. 2 weeks ago, I got Free RM5 Credit. That's good. Then last week, it appeared again but error when I try to claim it. After which it will go away. Next day it'll appear again in BoS. So every day I will try to claim it and be disappointed. Day after day.  sad.gif

Now they quietly went and change the terms again. Headed to to their site and read up their NEXT Prepaid Plan T&C.They now explicitly state that direct port in to their NEXT Prepaid plan is allowed.

https://www.digi.com.my/support/help-center...-and-activation

There was nothing mentioned previously about MNP from other telcos directly to their Live Prepaid plan previously under their Q&A section.

This telco is not being honest at all to their customers. Did they just eat back on their words?

EDIT: The Prepaid Live plan also has been delisted from their site. You can only find the NEXT Plan now under their Prepaid section?

as mentioned by many users here, MNP to digi prepaid is allowed. it is just unlucky that u met such staffs when u got there. also no point keep biting on it since u have decided not to take further action on digi and the particular centre.
*
Waa like that also can? Really what a dishonest telco DiGi has become, can eat back on their words like that. shakehead.gif

It's now becoming another TM in the making? doh.gif

nobody is eating back their words - many has mentioned successfully port in directly into digi prepaid for years. what u should look for instead is any T&C that mention not allowed to port in directly into digi prepaid.
*
I'm speaking the TRUTH.

Look at their Prepaid section and compare it with their Postpaid page.

There is no option to "Switch to DiGi" for the Prepaid Page
https://www.digi.com.my/shop/prepaid-plans

But on the Postpaid section there such button is but the lowest tier plan is Postpaid 58. There is no Postpaid 38 plan listed there.

Maybe new policy? Let me go test water. Planning to go DiGi Centre this week. Got one Yoodo and 5 Tunetalks I need to port to DiGi.
*
Now you go probably they retract on that already and allow you to do so. Maybe try asking them if I wanted to port-in 3 months ago could I directly port in to DiGi Prepaid instead of being forced to minimum subscribe to Postpaid 58 for at least 1 month?

not allowing porting in to prepaid via online is not the same as not allowing porting in to prepaid at all. that being said, i'm not sure if this is some new rules - but ur case if a few months back. also since u kept crying foul, we suggested that u take action against these rogue staffs/centre but u chose not to. then what outcome do u expect from this thread? this thread doesn't have any official digi staffs.
*
No, do you see the grey areas there? I could have record the liar DiGi staff with a voice recorder in all future dealings with them.

What he told me:

-The minimum Postpaid plan I can port to prepaid with min usage of 1 month later has to be Postpaid 58 plan.
-You cannot port directly to prepaid via online whether you from other telcos or from any DiGi Postpaid plan. The only way is to return back to any direct DiGi Centre.

Why are you trying to cover up for them?

Now do you really think I'm that stupid to make a scene in public and dig him out and force him to spill out his words again? biggrin.gif over a cheap Prepaid account?

The thing is this, DiGi has lost my trust totally and I don't think I would want to recommend their service to my friends and family ever again after this.

Is my right and freedom to harp on this right to the public?

also to add on, digi is not the only one who removed porting to prepaid via online (probably not worth the delivery fees). umobile, celcom, hotlink to name a few.
sweat.gif
*
But some of them allow you to buy a random SIM pack outside and register it then request to port out to them via online. That is way more convenient.

There's just too much hanky going on with DiGi's requirement to only allow porting to prepaid via direct official DiGi Centre visitation with the owner of the line being present.

Even their lowest Postpaid plan listed on their website is the JOM START Postpaid 58 plan. Their individual Postpaid 38/28 Postpaid plans are not even listed on their site so their staffs can always deny the existence of such plans to push for higher priced Postpaid plans to their customers.

Very dishonest policy to start with. They think they can always get away with that?

i think u have made ur point over the past few pages.
*
Thanks for the advice but I appreciate that you understand my take on this. Most of us know how effective MCMC complaints are unless you're somebody. biggrin.gif

The better way is to expose the real nature of the culprit in public so that they'll never attempt to pull the same trick on people ever again? Really over a few bucks really isn't worth the effort.

IMO, any telcos would prefer prepaid business rather than postpaid. Good for their cash flow. For post-paid, telcos prefers you to sign a contract to lock you down.

I am surprised to hear that telemarketer called your colleagues asking them to switch to prepaid plan. I have never received such call from Digi and I have been with Digi for > 8 years. I have both postpaid and prepaid line. I am true-yellow fan.  biggrin.gif
*
Switch to Postpaid plans from Prepaid. SIM replacement not needed, they just update your account details on their end with your prepaid SIM card continued to be used in your existing phone.

not at the current economy.

With so many people out of job, prepaid is becoming popular again. This explains why telco now switching back to prepaid promotion again.
*
Prepaid segment is less loyal and the revenue stream is less because customers will keep switching plans to suit their lifestyles or port out without hold backs from unsettled outstanding bills.

However it becomes a real contender and threat to Postpaid if priced low enough to attract the masses.
Also a brilliant idea to improve financial revenue standing in the shortest time. You'll see suddenly Maxis, Celcom and Umobile's financial results for this quarter will suddenly be noticed by analysts.

Based on how old your DiGi Prepaid account is.

I found out when I transferred my aunt's DiGi Prepaid SIM card(very old type with old DiGi logo which cannot connect 4G) which fates back to close to 15 years already on Best v1 plan or something to a new phone.

Every month she just keep the line alive like RM10 for years already just to receive calls only.

The new phone I help her set up to use and installed the DiGi app ended up have to use WiFi to access and activate her account. ohmy.gif

Her plan BOS offers had the daily auto-deduct RM1 unlimited 3Mbps unlimited plan. That was like last year.

It has nothing to do with user pattern. The reason why DiGi keep changing Prepaid plans is to track how long you've been with them so they separate different BOS offers for older plans.

By looking at the different prepaid plans you're on such as BEST v1,v2,v3 Smart Plan, Live and NEXT they can roughly khow how long you've been using their Prepaid service, how old this customer have been with them.

2.5gb weekly 💪

No wonder accumulated until 40GB

My last month data usage only utilized about 1.5GB only from free promo pool. I subscribed to the BiGBonus primarily for the unlimited call feature only.

The 4GB + Unlimited Call one?
Then no choice... Because of the call...

If not, the cheaper rm15 is sufficient enough 👍
*
Come to think of it the BiGBonus 28 plan is the best balanced and suited plan for me.
Unlimited calls with 4GB + daily 1GB 1pm-7pm data is just nice.

Why spend RM7 more monthly when I never get to use it? Don't just simply jump and follow the crowd like a sheep for those buffet plans.

Also one great feature that DiGi has to offer is it's on demand one-time purchases such as daily 10GB Midnight or Morning add-ons. RM2 for 10GB high speed top-up which comes handy as a backup feature when your home fixed line goes down. Also don't forget its BOS offers.

Like they say don't put all your eggs into one basket.

No one forced to go unlimited plan...
If happy with current plan.. just maintain it is enough 💪

No point joining the rush and end up with others in a congested network.
As shown I don't even use more than 2GB on average monthly.
I'm given lots of choice to top-up with one-time add-ons during emergency situation or on demand with cheap RM2-3 deals.

Why pay more, waste my precious time lining up at service centres and port by number from 1 provider to another out of silly thrills. mega_shok.gif

Stocks analysts now put DiGi under "Hold" status which is bad news to their shareholders.

Funny thing is that in Malaysia every quarter sure all the telcos take turns to offer good deals to make subscribers switch and port out like merry go around musical chair.

So they take turns to announce revenue increase and dividends.

This can only happen because all of these telcos have the same circle/group of cronies who own major stakes in them. They make it look like there's competition but which ever telco gains from profits they'll be enjoying the dividends handouts.

Last time DiGi announce their Infinite plans everyone rush to it and port out from other telcos now Hotlink pull off the Unlimited Prepaid plan, The Celcom.

Very predictable pattern.

If they any  promotion and events sure customers will  plan  to swtich here and there that is normal 😊 who offer best coverage and  best rebate. All the best to our big telcos
*
Yes that's why the pattern very obvious our telcos like launching attractive plans by taking turns.

This time DiGi is held back because must kasi chance to Maxis, last time Maxis was held back to give DiGi, before the two, Celcom got to launch Midnight Owl to get customers.
