Asked for rebate on SST last week for the quantum master. CS said pending management approval. Credited to me 3 working days later.

I think I will apply back the Maybank Barcelona card with 1% general cash back.

Have surveyed other cards and they call for high spending per month to get good cashback. Hard to reach that level for me, especially with spreading my spending to AMEX 2card.

Did PBB change their policy on SST rebate? Just called in to request for my visa signature. The CS asked me to spend RM500 accumulated in two months and call in again to request. Not difficult to achieve that, but this is the first time I don’t get immediate rebate after so many years. I actively use the cards btw.

Much more than that for sure. That’s why I’m bit puzzled. Maybe different CS different style.

She did reconfirm if I am asking the same SST rebate like I did last year. And then she said PBB no longer offers this but provides two option. One is use point to offset. Another is to spend RM500 accumulated in two months then call in (excluding some type of transactions like insurance iirc).

Called in today. CS said my visa signature can only have the RM25 rebate if use points. I asked if there is any offer such as spend XXX to get rebate, the CS said no and this is the way effective 2025.

Anyway I used my point to offset. Probably will get another card soon (maybe Maybank Barcelona if the benefit still no change) since the cash back getting worse.
