Physical activities are very good at curing depression, especially outdoor activities. When you are focused on using your hands and legs for coordination and balance, your brain is rewired more for that purpose, instead of overthinking things. It also triggers your body to create more endorphins, the hormone that reduces stress and pain. Physical activities also often come with targets/goals that you can achieve and when you achieve them you feel good about yourself. You also get dopamine the feel good hormone from the feeling of success.

It doesn't necessarily have to be 'exercise' because it sounds boring for a lot of people.

Physical activities can be fun like skateboarding, cycling, trampolining, wall-climbing, paintballing, etc. As long as you're moving a lot and sweating it's good.

In short, become a kid. Don't hesitate to look silly and have fun because 'I'm an adult'.

Mid life crisis?
Do you have really close friends? It helps to have friends that you can share. For me I’m an introvert but I do have close friends. Though I dont share my problems regarding depression with them but I hang out with them. So I managed to live on for another day.

work or volunteer for the less fortunate. working for terminally ill patients can change ur perception

honestly though, i think depression is a problem for 'priveleged' people only, common in first world countries. true people who suffer struggle everyday to survive, no time to think about sadness or whatever shit
