Max budget can go? No preference on battery life?

probably only comfortable till RM2.4k 

battery life if >4hour good enuff for me I reckon.

even my Y400 can only last 2.5h with battery saving mode.. lulz

Good Day All Sifu, I've been using an old Asus N56V that I bought in 2012. I also have a Lenovo thinkpad from my company which I only use for emails and company stuff (since cannot install the other software that I use). Everytime I am on business trip i need to lug around the heavy Asus. I am in the market for a new laptop.

- Usage: some video editing, graphic editing (AI and Photoshop), and mostly torrent downloading

-  need to be at least lighter than my Asus so that easy to bring around

- battery life: no preference
- budget - RM 4k to RM 5k

my new laptop criteria as follows;

budget: around RM2k
usage: browsing, utube, regular office apps (ms word, excel and etc) and perhaps routing/switching configuration via serial cable
requirements:
- light and thin
- not more than 15.6" screen
- IPS panel if possible
- with RJ45 port if possible

i'm targeting the xiaomi air (the m3 version) at the moment.. but kinda concern whether usb to serial cable will work since xiaomi air don't have ethernet (last time i tried usb to serial cable, didn't work at all).

2. Usage  : powerpoint presentations, reply emails
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : 13"and below, light-weight, usb port, hdmi port, for senior citizen usage

Might want to take a look on some Chinese stuffs like Chuwi, JOI, though personally I wouldn't recommend them due to unknown reliability
