Commandos Glock 5 Plus: ~2.62kg, strongly suggest adding another 8GB RAM by yourself (for other models also) and get 144Hz panel but that would be out of budget
Lenovo Legion Y540 15 81SY00AJMJ: Y540 / Y7000 SE can be customize online also, if you're a student can apply 15% discount
Illegear Raven SE 62Wh: manual power limit overwrite highly required
Level51 Forge 15: 4-5 hrs battery life only with secondary battery swap

3500U, W10 Home, 8GB onboard, 256GB NVMe (512GB if you want), FHD IPS touch (if want high sRGB, opt for 400 nits option), 65W adapter

Other things that aren't mentioned are optional. No backlit keyboard though

Add another 8GB by your own (in the empty slot). If you want max 32GB then opt for 16GB onboard and add 16GB by yourself

Don't use 'SCHOOL' code, wait for another one

Guy at Acer said that this model can store 20gb ram(4+16)

1. Does this count as dual channel ram? The ryzen 5 needs dual channel to run smoothly right?
2. The battery life would be worse than the Intel i5-8265u version right?

Dual channel needs to match capacity (4+4), yes it can support 20GB but got what use

Battery life should be around the same with 3500u/3700u

Interested in buying HP Envy 13, but don't really understand the differences between AH and AQ range. I only use laptop for surfing, Word, Excel and transferring photos from phone to external hard drive.

Budget is 3.5 to 4.5k, but prefer not to overpay for specs I don't really need.

Preferred display size and min battery life? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradeable RAM?

hi guys any comment on this model?
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/MY/content/model/NX.GY9SM.003

AMD Ryzen 5 3500U , 2.10 GHz
Quad-core (4 Core™)

Full HD 15.6"
Radeon™ Vega 8

4Gb DDR4

1TB HDD Battery: 4870mAh
2.3kg

I am looking for full HD Ryzen processor, mainly youtube and watch full HD movies. Occasionally play old games like starcraft 2, diablo 3, mass effect.

ok?
