QUOTE(blacktrix @ Aug 12 2007, 08:54 PM) I'm concerned about the bolt on for upper fret access.... rr3 isnt as bad as the paul Normally, this isn't an issue (because I don't go up THAT high anyway), but for the exam, I'll need something with better upper fret access..... I have trouble with my RR3 already..... right? lol |

QUOTE(Rossie @ Aug 14 2007, 02:15 AM) That's EBMM's Mr. Horsepower... The first thing that came to my mind bout this guitar wasNot a signature, just a one off made for Nigel Tufnel. There were 25 made, all but the first two were in Nigels's own personal collection. The 11th one is the special one, considering it was made for Nigel, but he did not get the 11th one, it ended up in the hands of a very wealthy collector. All the proceeds from the auction were to be donated 100% to the CLB foundation. The meter is actually measures the output, the harder you pick, the higher the meter goes. And please guys, if you want to diss the guitar, do more research on Spinal Tap and the design that goes behind this guitar. If you want ugly, the Gibson Chevy is ugly. OMG IT LOOKS LIKE A TURBOCHARGED V8 lol cuz the chromed bars looked like a side view a v8 engine lol |

try getting something with a larger speaker,
sometimes its the speaker bottlenecking your sound, not giving enough headroom and soundstage |

how big is the cube20's speaker?
somehow i find while the ad30 does sound fantastic, the ad50 which uses a larger speaker makes soooooo much difference in the tone thats what drove me to a conclusion, big speakers = better lol |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Aug 16 2007, 08:38 PM) Current Vox Valvetronix users... interested in converting your babies to the high-gain counterparts? is the site down? can't seem to access it, managed to see a glance of the pic tho, from other webbieshttp://www.voxamps.co.uk/valvetronixxl/ad50vt2-xl.asp# The audio clips seem promising, the audiorage's my favourite... based on the Mesa maybe? looks nice i wonder what new amp models they have =p |

it'd be more attractive if the speakers were both celestions
=p but i guess that will send its price skyrocketing =p @ecbp well the vox would be more flexible, being a modelling amp, but i guess it'll never beat a fulltube =/ |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Aug 17 2007, 11:28 PM) nah thats definitely not a MIC epi. take a hammer and chisel, strip off the paint, check the wood, then refinish to your taste =plooks like a pre-2004 MIK. btw, my epi LP i think has to go. a new addition to my family has arrived in the form of the epi iommi SG the iommi unplugged sounds much brighter than my gibsons. guess due to whatever 'mahogany' epi are using. see? two birds with one stone!
