As we know, plasma's power consumption is fluctuate up & down and LCD is constant... hmm.gif I'm wondering in overall is it Plasma still consumes much more power than LCD (like 350W vs 190W)? sweat.gif

The difference won't burn a hole in your pocket especially for home usage since its not like you keep the unit on 24/7 shocking.gif

lets see, lets say diff = 150W x 5hours AVG = 0.75KWh

x 30days = 22.5KWH x RM0.22= RM4.95/mth laugh.gif

Buy Buy Buy...

Just buy the right thing for your usage. Astro is quite sien what. I only watch Formula1 nia. From time to time, watch some soccer lor. Otherwise, I only stick to it for some Discovery and NatGeo. Most of the time, we will stick to our pc for sure. Thats why I bought LCD. No regret. You can download drama in HD format and it was so so nice in FHD mode. Even Astro also kalah.

Sammy, LG, Sharp - LCD. Understand Sammy makes their own LCD panel & maybe Sharp too.

Panny - Plasma. Understand makes their own Plasma panel & LCD from third party.

The above my 2 cents worth.

Thanks

the difference between Sharp LC32A53M & LC32A33M is that the LC32A53M has the 100Hz,
what/where is this 100Hz good at?

the LCD is mainly for Astro viewing..

I got the LC32A53M for about 2 years now..

however when playing my dvd/ps3 - blu ray.. on its display box it only show 70hz.. any idea why so?

I'm using both dvd and ps3 on hdmi

Im also planning to get one LCD TV 32 Inch for my living room (850sqft apartment).
In few days...i already survey at few shop....as sawanishi said...different shop....different story... rclxub.gif
So, i would like to get some advice from experience LCD owner.

My budget is below RM1800. Need to view astro channel & watch dvd movie only (currently using cap ayam dvd player & cetak rompak dvd disk.... biggrin.gif )

What is the best brand with best quality picture...? (according to my budget & my need)
