wanna ask, anyone here tried to import top coat or primer spray can from oversea to malaysia?

btw, compare to the bottle mr. surcafe and the spray can's one... which one is better?

here's a little tip for you then Never ever paint pure flat white and pure flat black, unless you've got all the time in the world to put on so many coats lar

If you're doing white, add a tiny drop of black into the mix (just enough to reduce the white by a tiny shade that its not really noticeable unless u really scrutinize it. This will help to strengthen the pigment.

Same goes for blacks as well. Add a tiny drop of white into the mix. While blacks do not require as many layers as white, doing this will make the result less prone to getting dirty.

there s almost impossible to find an air tight cabinet...air tight container got le...those for kuih raya one...lol

if MG then u need a big jar then...but acguy no metal parts also to keep it from air...

I'm talking about those models like Hyaku Shiki 1st ver, Those special Coating versions. It will not just get dull it will turn black!

I don't see much of a problem wrapping it with "Transparent plastics", not supermarket plastic, ZIPLOCK should also do the trick. Yea sure it will give out some reflections but so do display cabinets, you can laugh but that is what I did to my Hyaku Shiki after what I saw happened to my metallic MG: GP01-FB, Zeta, RX-78-2. They all have these black spots on the silver metallic parts. Worse of all you can't touch up those paints since Bandai using electrodes to coat them, no paint will give you that shiny mirror look.

Maybe spraying those Gloss coating might work but I dunno, depending on how Bandai coated those metallic it either melt off or it stays shiny. Try spraying perfumes on one of your BB Gundam Gold Horns and you'll see what I mean. Turns em to Chrome.

What's the power rating, price I should be looking at? Can it be found in hardware shops or just the modelling shops stated above?

Also what is the recommended practice when handling compressors? Need time out every 15 minutes?

A: you can get poison smelling too much thinner/alcohol/spary can and paining material. even Art Student are compulsory to buy them.
  if u wish to play with Airbrush ... try to invest in these stuff ... if your room do not have enough AIR space ....
  some more those sell in ACE hardware store that can filltered multigass are far more expensive than this ... try check it out ....

Humbrol is another enamel paint and have a very large range of color. Provided our local store have stock it enough. Humbrol ams tamiya enamel paint is mean for plastic paint, So it is save.

One good think about enamel paint is, it is thin, easy to apply and dry fast.

I mean apply direct without mix. I using humbrol before. It very liquid, thin and dry fast.

totally agree....especially on f91...where 100% abs joint....

but then even on soft rubber joint, dun used on it as well...unless u hav a layer of paint over it...if direct contact...bye bye tp ypur gundam

I saw one at the multifilla balakong. The uncle sell it in package Compressor + AB. Not sure what is the price cause interesting on another bigger quiet compressor. Probally between range rm400 - rm600.

i just spray on my balcony...for years of spraying never use any booth...lol...maybe im going to die soon...

i on ceiling fan full force then spray...the fume will linger in that area for few minutes...

while ab i will on the fan...but when handbrush...i will off it..cause it will make my paint dry faster...its ok if it dry fast on the kit..but the one that still in the mixing bowl also dry fast

wanna ask sumthin, i dip a some part of my gunpla (the v-fin) into mr thinner, to strip off the paint on those part coz want to repaint it back, after i dip it n took out, then wash with water n lap it to make it dry...i try to fix it to the head (pre-assemble le lebuh kurang),n it kinda loose n need to apply some cement if want to attach it back..so what i want to ask here, is the mr thinner really eat the plastic, n if it does, how to avoid it?i dip that part juz for a few second,kacau2 skit kasi tanggal warna, not dip it for a day....

n one more thing, if i juz apply the surfacer directly to the painted part (means that i don't strip the paint 1st like what i did above)it still can stick well on the surface ke?coz malas le if dia tak lekat kat surface n snang tanggal....

p/s:sory le if my word can confuse u all,hehe....

Oops... by water i mean Acrylics.... not those poster color ler... lol.  Acrylic dry d wont be affected by water... sorry for the misunderstanding.

i read from internet that a compressor from taiwan AS18
got autostop function but i think dont have air tank one...
anybody has it and can explain why???
