Any proof that Mané is on the bus? I don’t think he’s happy..cos he seems not enjoying winning...and kena Scold by Lovren to move not to block them from taking with the cup... mane leaving soon?
Think too much.
But I saw he wasn't happy after Firmino sprayed champagne and wet his phone. Probably not happy with alcohol celebrations. Firmino immediately put down the bottle and went to him.
I still remember 2 seasons ago when Mane went off to African competition for a month and we lost most of the matches in January. Nightmare.
We didn't have enough depth 2 seasons ago. We have since signed Salah, Keita and Shaqiri or even Ox who can all play his position. Plus, Divock has proven he is a capable replacement when needed.
If we are able to sign some players or have youngsters step up (Brewster). Nothing much to worry about depth for international games and challenging for all competition.
Torres moving was indeed a sad day and what more to a rival at that time. But if you were in a sinking ship, you'd jumped too. He was playing under Roy and a team of mediocre players bar Gerrard, Carra and Reina. Everyone from the amazing 08/09 team left. He was also declining in terms of performance which was apparent in his 4 years with Chelsea scoring only one-third of what he did for Liverpool.
By the way, can't consider 1 club for Gerrard since he played for LA Galaxy.

Jurgen Klopp already mentioned we won't be signing anyone major this season. Not sure why some still waiting for big signings. Unless we offload Origi and Lovren, we have enough depth coming into the new season.
I am excited to see some youngsters like Hoever and hopefully Wilson and Woodburn play a part.
but what has his salary got to do with us? If the club decides that they could and should give him that then it's really not our problem... It's not like we are gonna pay him whatever just for him to fck around right? We are paying him to play for us.
2 different scenarios here: Owen is a local, he understands the rivalry with Utd, yet he joined them and helped them to win a title (personally I'm just bitter about the very last part). Coutinho is not a local, but rumours say he would not join any rivals out of respect for LFC. And now, understand the context of what we are talking about - Coutinho re-joining us, what's the relevance with Owen's case here? For the sake of discussion, if Owen were to rejoin us even after his Utd days, I would still want him to do well for us, because well, he's playing for us.
Owen was a free agent before he joined Utd, it wasn't like he has any other choice. In this case, he needed salary at the point of agreeing to pay as you play deal. If you were a player or in your own real life being out of job. You would have made the same decision.
Plus he was already 33 and lastly, we will never know what goes on behind the closed doors and why these decision was made.
no one can decide what the club wants to do. we can only talk about what we feel. end of the day, we just want our beloved club to win more trophies and get better. for the back-room part, I am not sure if this situation will create more positives than negatives to the team or otherwise. maybe one positive lesson that PC can share to his buddy - don't be too excited if "big" club come and knocking for your service. the grass is not always greener on the other side.
Him leaving turned out perfect for us. I don't have any bad feelings for him or Torres or Owen. If PC didn't leave, we wouldn't have the transfer fee to recruit the players we have today. If we spent more wisely on Torres' fee, we could have had a even higher chance of winning something. If Owen didn't leave, we wouldn't have won the 5th UCL.
If Phillipe ever comes back, he would need to take a pay cut and be part of the same salary curve as the current players so it doesn't affect the other player. Actually, there are no clubs willing or can afford to pay his salary bar Real Madrid, or Man Utd who is quite dumb in salary management.

Well you are right on all front. But I doubt he didn't field offers from other clubs, and someone who really value his Liverpool roots would never sign for Utd, especially he has been a somewhat legend at Anfield due to his early exploits. His post-retirement comments also do not endear himself to me.
Maybe he has other offers but he would definitely pick the 1 with the best opportunity. The way he left us for Real Madrid was worse than joining Utd.
He says the dumbest things as a pundit so you should disregard of anything that comes out of his mouth haha.
Then he has to live with being a hero turned villain, hatred that comes via love is the worst of all. All in all, the way he conducted himself SINCE wanting to leave justifies my view of him: one of the worst associated with us for a meaningful period, if not outright the worst.
Doesn't matter. Better to channel your energy on positive stuff and hope the youngsters perform and step up to back up the 1st team!
My exact thoughts on this summer's signings. Doesn't seem like there are much options.
1. Our players are too good/world class and it is hard to get another back up that would want to sit on the bench unless they are getting paid like City/PSG/Barca. Liverpool ain't paying for that.
2. Indeed Coutinho would be the best choice despite how he left us. Fekir is the next on my list but he is unproven in BPL.
Seems like Mignolet's move is coming soon and it is hard to replace him. He can walk into any 7-12 ranking team in BPL and start every game, but none of the 7-12 goalies will either want to be Allison's backup or good enough to be his backup.
Good problem to have such an awesome team. Haven't felt this before.
