Our depth is kinda a problem in defensive department whereby our left back and right back doesnt have established player to cover, we have only youth player to replace them in case TAA (ki jana, clyne) and Robertson (milner, yaser larouci) are out. The CB are as usual VVD, Joe Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Van den berk.

Meanwhile our midfield is bloated we got hendo, milner, lallana, gini, fabinho, ox, keita

The Front three got Mo salah, Firminho, Mane, Brewster, Origi, Shaqiri, Brewster. (Kent and Wilson fate are yet to be known?)

However most Liverpool players are utility players which can slot in other position when needed and usually our subs perform big time when needed.

Hopefully Klopp doesnt sent out more people on loan when the season start, we dropped points because we loan clyne out and not having a proper RB backup to TAA :x

That is why I also don't understand why so many supporters want Moreno to leave. He is the kind of backup we need. He doesn't mind to be on the bench and he is decent as a back up. Milner and Hendo can cover RB position too. So does Joe Gomez.

Wanting him to leave vs don't mind him leaving are certainly different sentiments. He played like what, 6 games last season? I think 'decent as a back up' is definitely arguable, he didn't lost his place to Milner two years back for no reason...
I can't say I want him to leave, but I certainly don't mind him leaving, since ideally I wouldn't want him to start games for us at LB.

Which brings me to my next point, who is a back up for Robertson since we are talking about squad depth?

when is the last day of transfer window? i still hoping we buy a decent LB/RB and a creative midfield too. I know we bloated with midfield. But Lallana is nothing for me.

Robertson started 36/38 league matches with 2 matches rested. TAA out injured for a couple month but started 27/38 matches. Perhaps Klopp expecting both fullbacks to be fit for the whole season and gomez + milner are good enough as the backup in case of emergency. It's not easy to sign any decent player who's willing to be a "backup". Yeah, it's frustrating for a fan because we've seen our team got short handed almost every season. Like last season, soon after we loan out Clyne, our only RB got injured. We have 5 CB but there's a few matches which VVD is the only one available. In spite of everything, we just need to have faith that Klopp has his own plan. We have seen klopp switch to 352 formation before. With players like Ox, Shaq and Milner even Mané are capable to play as a wide man in that formation to provide defensive cover, it could also be an option. Just in case. We are going into next season as a champion of Europe so... chill

Fabinho, he plays as Rb for Brazil
and as CB against Munich last season when VVd suspended.
Dont care about new signing, Klopp knows better than us. With few players coming back from injury, its like new signing hopefully. And I really hope Lallana can prove me wrong.

Moreno staying also doesn't answer the same question. Clearly untrusted, he was there to make up the numbers and make us feel like we have depth at that position when his presence doesn't make any difference.

We are nothing to Lallana too.

Honestly Coutinho left on a bad term with the club and the fans. But I would rather him with us than one of our main competitors. It’s up to Klopp really.
