QUOTE(myvi5949 @ Aug 30 2008, 10:59 AM) My SATA cable for Harddisk will sometimes loose contact. Then my PC will hang, or worst I will have to reformat and reinstall windows. The connection pins can be easily slide off if I accidentally move my CPU casing. Any solutions? 1. replace cable with 'metal lock' 2. replace HDD 3. super glue /tape /rubberband |

QUOTE(LVSeiZai @ Sep 17 2008, 05:14 PM) 1. I was talking the mentioned cpu O'C to 3.2Ghz(Max) <-- hw long till it is exhausted n can no longer perform? Do i need to change proc only after 1yr? What bout the other component? 2. I was planning to last approx 3 yrs for this CPU so im wondering whether should i O'C it o not 3. Thx for the recommendation. ^ if you have good overclocking knowledge, of course it will works more than 1 year. CPU don't die that easily. but if you treat your PC bad (from software & hardware usage), you can see many examples in Technical Support section |

QUOTE(astria @ Oct 5 2008, 11:51 AM) juz suddenly thought of a noob one... let say i ve a SATA cable that's left over from the time of Intel 865 chipset, ie SATA1 era... now with SATA2 ports on mobo and SATA2 HDD, would that cable limit the speed to SATA1?? i don't think so.. as long as the SATA cable has 7 contacts /conductors inside. |

the AMD one should be:
Level 1-Data 2x64KB (store raw data to be processed) Level 1-Inst. 2x64KB (store instructions /commands to do with the raw data) Level 2 cache will make a copy of main memory (RAM) and pass to Level 1 cache high capacity cache will contribute in parts of CPU overall performance. QUOTE CPU cache: 1. a smaller + faster memory 2. stores copies of the data from the most frequently used main memory locations 3. low latency (delay) internet says your T2060 only has 1024KB for L2 cache? and yes, AMD(X2) 4800+ will be faster then Intel T2060. QUOTE(James_yka @ Nov 8 2008, 12:20 AM) Thz for your answer... does it have any diff if i change into Vista 64bit ? cos im using XP 32bit only... mostly your program is single threaded which will only able to run up to 100% each core. you can run 2 sets of it by rename the main executable **.exe (not important, pls ignore if cannot understand) not Windows OS problem This post has been edited by ktek: Nov 8 2008, 01:18 AM |

QUOTE(James_yka @ Nov 12 2008, 01:59 AM) Just bought a new rig few weeks ago... having sum prob or question... hope to get to know more abt my rig... Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1 Phenom 9950 BE DFI DK FXB-MR2SH Gainward HD4870 512mb Corsair 1066 4gb Dominator Gigabyte Odin Pro 800w PSU So i tried to use AMD OverDrive to clock the proc, but the result wont budge, i can only maximize to 2700ghz... Cos im still using the stock HSF, should i be able to get more juice from it ? If i would to change a better 1, which 1 should i get ? couldnt choose from the the product available in the market... Then abt the ram. i cant seems to be able to make it run at 1066... Its very unstable, crash most of the time... But Phenom should be able to support 1066 and the board has the function also... Mainly, im worry that the PSU is not giving enough power, cos all the unstability of the rig... Can anyone help me figure out whether is it my PSU not having enough power... overclock is not n00b question please proceed here: AMD OC thread |

IIRC laser sensor has more linear accerelation compared to opticals as read-ed from some web article.
if buy laser sensor for 'all surface working' is plain d*u*mp as nobody likes to scratch their $hundred dollar$ mouse. btw, logitech has G series wireless 'gaming' mouse & keyboard. i still prefer wired |
