Both Chelsea and Man Utd are weakened in this season.
Chelsea sold their top player with no equivalent replacement, they even strengthen us with their top CB of last season. They also have a novice first time manager in tough league like PL.
Man Utd is also in a mess, sold their top striker without replacement, no midfield replacement and pogba still possible to leave.
Top 4 is mandatory this season, else have to sack Emery haha...
For Chelsea yes, they face an uphill battle because of the transfer ban and what not but you never know. New manager syndrome/beginner's luck has been a thing for them in the past. They have won so many titles with manager's whom are newly appointed for that season. If you want to mention first time novice manager......they had a novice manager who won the CL for them before lol
Man Utd is tricky, it's hard to say if OGS new system will work, Lukaku, yes arguably their "top striker" but we all saw OGS had a new system even towards the end of the season last year. To be honest even if Lukaku had stayed it won't make a difference since Rashford was always going to be OGS main striker in his new system so for all we know they weren't even ever going to replace Lukaku. But Pogba hasn't left right lol Until he does he is still a Man U player. You got to admit with Maguire and Bissaka their defense has gotten a lot stronger though.
Anyway I agree for now we are front runners, personally I think we are stronger than Spurs as well, but we shouldn't write them off just yet la lol. Haven't even kicked a ball yet.
And yes, agree the pressure is now on for Unai to deliver to top 4. Failure and highly likely he will get the sack.
To be honest I was actually hoping for one more CB in the transfer window like a Rugani on loan or something in addition to David Luiz....that would've made the transfer window a perfect 10 for us IMO.
