Pepet fee to be paid in installments. We memang got no money lol.

This was the same proposal to Palace but it was rejected because they wanted lump sum instead.

Either way their loss is someone elses gain and that includes us because from what I've seen, most people have the opinion that Pepet is the better player.

Generally excited for this if it happens.

Don't think we have spent that much over our budget to be honest. Despite the huge fees being touted we don't really pay all that much upfront.

Saliba - Installments
Ceballos - Loan fee
Pepe - Installments
Tierney - Upfront + installments

Ceballos loan fee isn't earth shattering and as for Tierney, he is only going to cost around 25 mill. Upfront I'm hearing around prolly 15-20 mill at most?

Now if we can find a good CB from a club willing to accept an installment payment structure we will still not run very far from our budget as well.

But if we fail to qualify for the UCL next season again then we are royally F*cked as we will most likely have a transfer budget as small or smaller than this season, and the due payments of these installments will eat up into our transfer budget for next season which could probably leave us with a big fat ZERO in our bank account for new players if we fail.

Failure to qualify for the CL is really not an option next season IMO.

Holding maybe but Chambers seriously no hope.

I watched almost all our pre-season games - Jenkinson, Chambers and Maitland Niles were the most consistent players in the team - consistent in getting repeatedly raped till kingdom come each time they've played.

Mustafi on the other hand will put himself in trouble by making a mistake.

I know it's only pre-season but early signs don't look promising at all.

Our right hand side of defense is looking really fragile at the moment.

Fingers crossed Unai will get us a first team ready CB before the window shuts. Rugani recently linked with us who is a right sided CB that can also play RB will be a freaking God send. I don't know much about this guy to comment on his ability but any reinforcements in this area will definitely be welcome.

I’m ok with this. CB has always been the priority.

Seems like it if sources are to be believed.

The story is being reported by L’Equipe journalist Bilel Ghazi. Seems he has been reliable in the past.

Jim White of Sky Sports and Talk sport has good connections at EFC and is friends with Farhad Moshiri.

Sell Iwobi and add that 30m into the bid we have made for Upamecano and pay his release clause. Saka has been really really impressive in pre-season.

I don't mind taking a punt on him to be the direct backup to Auba for that left slot in our front three.
