Currently all DRAM manufacturer already increase their chip price. Just wait old stock finish and the price will noticeably increase.

A little increase but maybe by mid July the price will go up noticeably.

I just plan to upgrade my notebook to 2G later ...dono whether notebook ram got effected?

we'll jz haf 2 wait nsee cos since ram prices hit lowest at rm100 it has gone up 2 rm140-150 nw.so u can roughly guess hw much prices wud be by then.unless by sum miracle production goes up n prices go down again

juz now baught a Sodimm DDR2 1Gb for my lappy.. Rm135 - kingston at imbi
thats the cheapest i can get... most of the shop already selling around Rm140-rm160

can anyone update the latest price for me for 512MB DDR2 and 1Gb DDR2??

512mb - rm70-80

1gb - RM140-150

next week or two will be RM180 for 1gb.

alternatively,go buy corsair, slightly cheaper.

bt how is KVR compared to Corsair?

I just grab 2 stick of Kingston RAM with RM140 at Digital Mall.

Kingston DDR2 667 1GB Highest in Dec06 RM 435.
Lowest in Jun07 RM105.
Pricing from LY 2nd Flr.

Price is drifting due to many causes,some said less production,but i think less production (less stock) shud be end of the year most the time.

Due to DDR3 mayb yes,mayb they'll clear old stock 1st then only release DDR3.
But it takes time to change all the available market motherboard to DDR3 Mode,it takes time and energy also.
Sumore Intel(tm) P35 motherboard juz release few weeks ago to hit C2D?
take time to reach DDR3 though.

For the price drop,i think is due to new shipment to Malaysia the DDR2 800 and 1066 Mhz for 2GB capacity per piece.
Even for OCkers,HyperX and XMS now the price is quite cheap can get it for Dual Channel purposes.2 GB kit below Rm0.5k.

Besides,i heard also the chip using is diff (low cost chip),but stil can give you same ram value.

For 2GB per peice,
Stil fresh in Malaysia,duno available at market adi onot.

Impossible I bought it from ALL IT just now, at about 6.30pm. That time they still have three left, i bought two of them. according to the sales person, those RAM is reserved for themselve to make package..but at last he did sold two of them to me.

PC fair price doesnt effect hardware. Only pendrive, printer etc. will be cheap.
