Thanks~i hope the pups can survive and able to growth up. My hammy is WW. the daddy is so aggressive and hungry+ham sap. keep chasing the mom so i separate him from the family and leave it alone so he keep jumping in the new tank and trying to escape from there.(i feel so guilty, hehe)
can any one share a picture-how to differentiate the sex becoz i wan separate the them once they growth up to avoid breeding again-

Separate once they reach 5 weeks old. By that time, you can tell the difference between female and males....

If you do not separate, the female will keep on getting pregnant and breed till her body deteriorates, her health weaken and she dies before she is 1 year old.... that is something serious coz the body can cage during breeding and having babies. So logically thinking, which is better? Control the breeding and not control the breeding?

three weeks old already separated.. ohmy.gif

usually at this age i give them "soft food".. eg: carrot, sengkuang, and some fruits..

afterwards, they try eating the solid things..
if i feed their mom mixed-food, they menyibuk curi-curi that food..

Sometimes it prevents both parents from killing their babies. And it prevents uncontrolled breeding.
