And I can guarantee you it's not. Meat in general really depends on the animal's feed. There are better quality white meat for sure. Perhaps I was unlucky (twice in a row?) but no issue as chicken is easy to find for low price.

As for old chicken for mamak, no comment. Good to know it works for you though but I'll stick with the sources I've found.

depends. Tesco kepong, the chicken is quite fresh, since it is sold quite fast.

of course u cant beat a freshly slaughtered chicken la. but i dun care, since i buy it in bulk (3-4 bird at once), cut it in half, bag it and then freeze it anyway.

Cheap chickens are normally made in china. They are frozen for few months in the ship before reach the shelves.

They have plenty of supplies, some local and some from china. Local supplies can’t cater the demand since pasar mostly take from local supplier and pay higher than hypermarket. Packaging, you can always put whatever you want.

Frozen chicken will have fat broken down when defrosted after frozen.

Tesco chicken fat is intact. Just peel off the skin and take a look.

Chicken also have good and bad. From my experience. The latest hype of Pineapple chicken sold in Giant was the worst chicken i ever had. Slimey skin and after poaching, the smell of a dead chicken. Not sure if the handler problem or not clean enough that the bacteria eating up the raw meat.

Tesco is ok la but I still prefer the one in Pasar , you compared the muscle, the pasar chicken usually solid and looks fattier than others.

Matahari is good for me right now. Hero really have no quality control. Chicken seem to be mcm got penyakit, maybe the feeds . Most food business owners use it for their restaurant.

The best chicken is still the the one in the air tight bag, anti biotic chicken are the best and fresh . Some how, it's not cheap but the taste is fabulous.
If you want to find the best chicken , go to Publika. There's one that sold almost rm 45 which they claimed fed with cornmeal. that one must be premium chicken.

Usually can get good and cheap Salmon from AEON.
Sanma fish can get for RM1 per fish from Tescogot during sales.
Taste better than those so-called Japanese restaurants that serve you grilled Sanma for RM20 per fish. Of course, can't compare with those upmarket Japanese restaurants that air flown their fish, but that's beside the point.

Everything depends on the volume and traffic of those hypermarkets.
I only buy produce on Weekends/PH eve as that is the time when they restock with new stuff. I wouldn't touch poultry from stores where I know it is usually low volume

I can’t remember what was the method named. But the chiller could freeze the chicken within few minutes after the chicken is cleaned to preserve it’s condition.

That’s how frozen chicken could last for months and still looks “fresh”.

In aeon there are two types of chickens.

1 is tight or vacuum packed - around 20+ per chick.
1 is loosely packed - around 10 + per chick.

I usually buy the vacuum packee - no injection one.

1 chick can usually cut into 18 pieces small.
Sell rm 4 per piece still can untung for vacuum packed chick.
Double the profit for loosely pack chick.

Try cleaning the chicken with okamizu food detoxifier. The machine makes a whole world of difference by getting rid of the smell, taste and the yellowish appearance

QUOTE
The proven home food detox system
(The Star Online, Thursday November 13, 2008)

The proprietary Okamizu Process is based on the latest Japanese technology combining plasma ion generation and ozonisation.
A bowl of water is all you need.
The Okamizu Food Detoxifier will turn the water into an oxygen-rich environment to detoxify
your food, water, utensils, refrigerator and more. Ozone is a powerful anti-microbial agent.

It kills bacteria faster than chlorine and leaves no residue. After ozonation, the foods can still be legitimately called organic.

You may now cleanse fruits, vegetables, meat and fish before storage and cooking with the smart Okamizu Food Detoxifier.

In 2001, it gained FDA approval as a sanitiser not only for food contact surfaces but also for direct application for food.

The Okamizu Food Detoxifier utilises safe latest Japanese technology, and is proven and tested by an accredited laboratory and university.

For my daughter.
No injection for the chicken.

As adult dont really care, but for kids - give better lol.

Visual and packaging - of course vacuum pack more clean and hygenic.
Chicken also looks better.

Different price different quality.
More towards handling I presume.

2 things

1stly, what if I told you ramai penjual pasar tu sebenarnya beli daripada Tesco?

2ndly, I don't think colour means anything, in fact I've seen fresh kampung chicken that is deeper yellow than any other chicken I've ever eaten, and it was the most delicious chicken I've ever had

Now if it's GREEN like some chicken I've seen sold in pasars, that's something else

P.s. I buy my chicken from Tesco

Just get the Aeon antibiotic free chicken, that's safe enough and no need pay so expensive

BTW no chicken ever is injected. Those raised with antibiotics have it mixed into their feed.
