i'm in dilemma of getting either Thinkpad L15 4750U or Lenovo Yoga 7 4600U

usage: for photo/video editing, document editing, online classes, heavy browsing, probably some light gaming (will be rare though)

Yoga 7 has much better sRGB compatibility compared to L15, so it should be better for image/video editing

L15 has Ryzen 7 4750U which is a bit more future proof than Yoga's Ryzen 5 4600U.. and L15 has 16GB RAM compared to Yoga's 8GB, but Yoga's RAM is faster at 4266MHz vs L15 3200Mhz (not sure if it translate's to big performance difference)

but i saw Lenovo Yoga 7's webcam didn't have mic?? IR&HD Camera No Mic and it's not customizable.. so it's a no no for online classes?

There is mic. It's separate module. Hence it says, array microphone instead of web + mic.

@ZM Fong, the code THINKSAVE is not valid anymore. Any new "discount gao gao" code specifically for Thinkpad L15?

On the other hand, do you think it is worth waiting for Ryzen 5850 PRO instead of the current 4750 PRO?

not that i aware of...can use 10% code (on sale price) for now (eg CNY888)

edit: CNY888 looks like gives 15% off to Thinkpads

Thanks, ZM Fong! CNY888 is 12%. I just tested it. THINKSALE was 15%. bangwall.gif

Any idea when 15% code will usually be available again? When will Lenovo usually provide code with high discounts?

Just placed an order for Inspiron 14 5402, i7-1165G7, 14 inch, 512GB SSD, 16GB DDR4, Intel Iris Xe.

Waited for 2 days for the quotation, half day to email back and forth for discounted price and finally paid through phone call using credit card at 10pm.

Hope it can last for a couple of years (>5).

hi bro,

can you please recommend some laptop model (below rm3.5k) for me?

requirement (priority from high to low):
1) light weight
2) long battery life
3) super fast power on
4) not hot after operate for long hours
5) usage: excel , web page surfing/edit, e-commerce, photo & video editing (for e-commerce only). NON-gaming.
6) minimum 8GB RAM & 256GB SSD, need HDMI output to occasionally connect to external monitor, ok without gaming GPU as long as it don't have negative impact on priority 1-4.
7) 11-14 inch laptop screen.

This laptop is mainly for e-commerce purpose, and non-gaming, and it will be carry around when traveling / going out.

I prefer non-Lenovo brand, been to SenQ but apparently nowadays all those laptop below rm3k all sold out !
