Yes, talk bout fatbody. It has been legendary for DDR2. Which DRAM manufacturer will have legendary DDR3 chip we will know soon.

Anyway, for now DDR3 should only be used for breaking new overclocking record, since its definitely stable 1:1 for 600FSB and beyond.

Meaning 1:1 between CPU and RAM. Let say above DDR-1200 theres no such stable module. Thats why DDR3 takes place. DDR3 can have DDR3-1333 which mean can oc up to 666Mhz FSB stable without being worry about RAM stability anymore. Sure to get that high need phase cooling though.

but the latency is increased also with DDR3 smile.gif

although IF both had similar slot, DDR3 is most likely need different memory controller, or a memory controller that can support both DDR2/DDR3. it all depends on the memory controller, ram slot is just a slot. read the first page for your answer.

The problem is that DDR3 specs in terms conditions and testing are not even ratified by JEDEC yet, and the temps on it worry me man

use lower lactancy, to achive high speed, if DDR3 can do 4-4-4-4 with 1600+ speed would be nice to achieved record

bro, sacrification is a must,i think it is impossible to hit 2000Mhz with 4-4-4-x,right?

if u wan hihg speed, the timing must be loosen,if u wan tight timing, then u will have lower frequency...

bro almostthere,if not approved by JEDEC,then how come we can find the spec at the website already?

That's what I'm confused about. Last month someone quoted a DDR3 article which stated that it wasn't ratified by all yet. But itu temps dia...wa takut wooo
