Guys... So I went and bought a viofo a129 and will be installing it on my daughter's Mk7 fiesta... After reading all this post, am thinking to diy and would need some help to clarify the following For the hardwiring, do you need to remove the battery before removing the fuses... Or is it ok as long as ignition off Any steps need to follow... Do we install the earth first or the piggyback wires first Sticking the cameras on the screen, I suppose I'll try with the clear plastic on the windscreen first and see how long it last... If it falls off I suppose I'll go with the clear acrylic Thanks Guys
Ok Guys... Finished installing the A129 with the hardwire kit... Wasn't too difficult.... Used the cigarette lighter Fuse for the battery connection since it's always on for the fiesta, and the rear wiper for the acc... The Fuse piggyback I got online worked perfectly.. Only thing is hard to find low profile fuses lower than 7.5A here in Melaka, so will use that first. Just ordered 5A online, since this is the lowest I could get.... Is this ok? Or should I look for 2A? Any idea where I can get them? Had to use fixate gelpad to fix both the cameras... Road tax plastic disc wouldn't stick to the frit on the front windscreen.... Even for the gelpad to hold, I had to keep a large part outside the frit... So do you guys cut the gelpad to fit the exact size of the mount? The thick wires for the rear cameras were ok fitting into the roof, and there was space above the 2 doors to push the excess wires... However, the thick wires meant that I couldn't place the rear cameras higher up the rear windscreen... They should have made the input on the side instead off the top? Any issues with the gelpad on the demisters? All in all, for the price of RM580 including hardwire kit,piggyback fuse and 128GB Samsung Evo plus... Minus warranty...I think well worth it.. Thanks
check with your night recordings if the video is not sharp/blur..mine was replaced with warranty. Apparently some A129 have hardware problem with auto focus if hardwired. Bought mine from Sicurez few months back and got a 1 to 1 replacement due to the defect
So far ok.... Keeping fingers crossed.... Now really struggling to get it right between the demisters.... Still got a line at the top or bottom of the camera...
So guys.... Bought 70mai a810 front only.... Now looking to add rear camera... Anyone know what's the difference btw rc11 and rc12... Can't find anything online except that the resolution same... Rc11 is cheaper by RM50.. So thinking to save same money
