press the icon to switch. If you have the 4G adapter with data plan, can also do the same. I have not renew my data plan so cannot show bangwall.gif

If you're changing and you're going to use Parking mode, I suggest you top up a bit for A810 - clearer video, rear cam RC12 has HDR, and parking mode has motion detection feature (A510 doesn't have motion detection, a bummer).

macam ada leh... but I not testing it la...

70mai website say got such functions.

today i went back to the same shop i bought my A500S and i saw A510 on the same slot on the rack replacing the A500S i bought

bloodyhell

But is it that important I barely check live view mode? I only use when align the XY location.

for me mostly to download the footage to phone, wifi transfer always slow, so now I jst take out the sdcard and put in card reader direct to phone. save time.

Anyways, good luck.

Edit:

bought a 70mai A500s and very disappointed in it. apparently 70mai series all dont have the rear view function on app.

ddpai has it as long as its dual channel.

Don't have. I checked my app, only have collision detection and time lapse mode.
*
So motion detect is not same as collision detect? if that's the case then your right.

It wont record if someone drive / walk past the camera.
It will record + notify (w/ 4G) if got impact.

I think I try and see how this work when I get home from work tonite.

Not the same. Collision detection uses impact to determine a collision had happened. Someone walking pass your car and scratching your car may not generate enough impact for the cam to detect.

This is found in the user guide of A810, which is not available in A510.

CODE
AI Motion detection
When the vehicle engine turns off, dash cam is in standby mode. When the continuously running image algorithm detects any threatening person and decides that this person should be recorded, dash cam will record parking surveillance video.

*
yup, understood, but this sort of surveillance will run down the battery fast tho. Or does the A810 has built in battery ?

All I know is I had to turn down the sensitivity on the a510, when I exited the car and close the door it detects as collisions. and sends notifications via the apps.

Bro, dashcam also record emergency recording (like slam car too hard), and will keep it there PERMANENTLY until you erase it manually. It will takes up space and adds up those recordings overtime, it will be full. So please do format your dashcam a few month once UNLESS you use high capacity sd card (assuming your cam can take those size).
*
it is a good practice to regularly "clean" the old footages. few weeks back I wanted to check 10 days prior parking footage, by calculation my SD should have that record, but due to "emergency" videos from when I bought the dashcam, it was overwritten due to lack of space. Now every month I will erase emergency videos if any. hmm.gif

Specifically for Honda - we had a forumer here argue that supposedly the Honda FB group 'full of reports' from driver who got their warranty claim rejected for reasons including using dashcam without cutting wire. No personal experience, but kept discouraging forumers from doing it for that reason (even non Honda). Dunno where that joker is now.
*
not only Honda every brand will discourage it. You cant blame them technicians also. for Me last time I just proceed fuse tapping. everytime I go service my car at SC, they will take it out and put in my trunk, then I put it back. LOL

I directly asked the tech who handled my accident Perodua about this, he said "tak potong no problem". Except if the installed item actually cause electrical problem or fire la.
*
Yup, i also asked before, they said the logic is sound, but they said better dont. Just purely from a claims perspective, as the management will find every little detail to deny claims.

anyone using 70mai A810 or A510 with 4G kit?
how many hour the camera can on before low power and shutoff itself?
*
That depends on your vehicle battery health. if your battery is already in a weak state, then would probably be very fast.

At the end of the day depends on the owner. Peace of mind for warranty claim, dont touch anything. Unless the car is known for electrical issues or fire, I will proceed to install, but im handy DIY kind of guy, I install my own stuff, thats why when SC disconnect, I can reconnect.

Z40 hardwire, although i had set below 12v cutoff,.immediately car had low voltage problem.

Several reports with same issue in ddpai fb page, but the admin limit those posting.
Any camera will struggle due to low light, thus in pitch black there is not enough information (light) for the sensor to capture.
*
how old is your battery and do you run aftermarket audio or additional items? Im just curious. I have a 70mai 510s hardwire w 4g, even w cut off at 12.4v my new battery died under 10 months. Car is stock standard no additional or modifications done... Now I off 24/7 (timelapse) recording.

Battery over 2yrs old
No aftermarket stuff.

Never had any battery issues, but immediately after hardwire.

I been using dashcam over 10yrs, just this time first time hardwire.
Now i set 15min after engine off only, so far so good.
*
after two years ok ma la.. maybe battery life ending already... weaker

QUOTE(Cavino @ May 26 2025, 05:08 PM)
In general, battery generally require 12V for stable startup. Anything below 12V, can start also but not so consistent.
So I always set cutoff at 12.4V. No issue with battery so far. Many times DDPAI kena cut off tho due to below 12.4V but then my battery would be safe to start car.
*
How long till hit the cut off from when you switch off the engine?

Daily commute to office, 1 hour drive. reach office not 5 mins hit cut off 12.4v. lol 'japan' battery

QUOTE(Cavino @ May 27 2025, 09:55 AM)
Not consistent, the dashcam, I fire and forget. It is only when I connect dashcam to cleanup....I get the multiple message of 12.4V shutdown happened on certain dates. Mostly ok tho...

BUT a big BUT is because I only use sleep in parking mode, for collision and vibration wakeup recording. If set as 12.4V with continuouse recording, I think most recording will just stop after sometime coz low batt..then sleep mode also takda. So I just switch to sleep mode, at least almost garantee got sleep mode emergency recording but even then occasionally still get 12.4V shutdown notification on certain days.

If I want 24 hours recording, I think I will have to go for external battery pack for the dashcam but to mafan for me. Prefer fire and forget for accidents.

Also nowadays, I practice changing battery every 2 years or so, even when it still worked. It is a waste, I know but I don't want to get stuck elsewhere (happened a number of times over the years) especially for cars driven by family (never want to receive call while working...say battery kaput, come help).

Most of my cars has VS (voltage stabilizer) installed (long time ago, still working perfectly even after a decade) and battery last way longer in general but VS has a weakness. Battery weak sometimes has symptom like headlamp dim, harder to start car...but with VS stabilizing, such symptoms are minimized. So when battery dying....we don't know until it died...especially cialat if start at midnight elsewhere (not home).
*
yea yea, I also switch to standby mode already... at least can do emergency recording. it will have app notification if anything. recently thunderstorm shook the car, got msg say collisions lol check check, lightning and thundercats.

Hi to all I’m recently purchased Ddpai Z60 Pro for my car with 4G hardwire kit. Can anyone help me to get an idea for cheapest data plan to hook up with my Dashcam.

Also does hardwire can be turn off parking Surveillance ?!
*
currently im using hotlink pantas, almost 6 months. not yet finish first 5gb (RM10). left 2gb.. expire in 6 months. can follow if you want, but i stop buying data after 2nd month, cos consumption quite low. at my consumption rate I think its probably going to be Rm 30 (365 validity) and RM20 (10 gb data) per year.
