I think the A129 Pro should be over rm1k+-. A129 Duo IR already around rm800.

Earlier I've tested with both rear cams from Duo & IR, the Pro can auto-detect both without any issues.

Videos should be after tonight. Just recorded morning videos just now. A 1-min file is 303MB in size for 3840x2160 30fps in high bit rate mode. Haven't tried the maximum bit rate mode yet.

Prepare to get a 128GB or 256GB or bigger capacity micro SD card to use this A129 Pro laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

looking forward for your A129 Pro review.

Unless slow down then it's clear

Perhaps in year 2020 there will be new sensor technology that can capture car plates clearly at night even when moving at 100km/h.

By then, keep up the good work reviewing dashcams. biggrin.gif

Ya
I think 5 almost 6 years and still going strong. Only the app is a bit sucks.

Same here bro.
Been using xiaoyi dashcam for about 6 years now.
If i park at outside during noon, i would cover the dashcam using my old cap to protect from heat & prying eyes also.
So far so good.

Now i don’t depend on the app anymore. I just disabled the Wifi externally & i bought the sdcard reader for iphone.

Anything just cabut the sdcard and read from phone much more faster.

But i also plan to buy the dashcam that comes with both front & rear cams.
Was wondering which brand that has small & discreet cam that can fit at the back of honda city hybrid ya? I put a sunshade behind also. Planning to squeeze thru it and put at near the 3rd rear light brake there.

blurjoey can recommend which best dashcam model for above situation ya?

Guys, i am planning to purchase Blackvue DR970X + B130X power battery pack.

Interested in using the Blackvue Cloud service for 24/7 remote live monitoring.

But i was wondering, to have a 24/7 4G internet in your car, you going to need a portable 4G router + powerbank right?
but having powerbank (Li Polimer or LiOn based) is dangerous because it's a fire hazard.

but so far i surveyed, no LiFePo4 based small powerbank is available. Only those big mini powerstations like Bluetti EB3A that cost like a bomb & quite bulky to be used, so not very practical.
LiFePo4 is safe to store in extreme temperatures.

Then i researched on Blackvue B130X battery pack, got a USB output port. So if i buy a 4G router stick such as below:

RS 4G router stick USB

should work wonders right? Maybe i just get a hotlink pantas, activate the 365 validity + 5GB pass, should be sufficient ya?

anybody here got use Blackvue or Thinkware CLOUD service before?
You think it's worth it to give extra protection for your car?

I've installed Z50 GPS with OBD hardwire. Just plug and play. If you can reach your OBD port, you can just pull it out yourself and plug in when necessary. The difference with Cig port plug in? Z50 OBD port have a switch at the plug, can switch it to 24 hours or ACCs mode, ACC mode means when switch of engine, it will cut off power like cigarette lighter port. 24 hours will act like fuse kit hardware, 24 hours, can use for parking mode.

The only problem with OBD port for long term is if SC or mechanic want to diagnose the car system by computer, they will use this port but then you just have to pull it out (plug and play) and after done, plug back in. Mind you, by SC term, it still consider Hardwire, so warranty can be void but at least you can pull/plug back in yourself unlike fuse kit hardwire.

after my honda city expires the 5 years warranty, then only i dare to put the dashcam with hardwire parking kit.
during warranty still active, only install via cig port/usb port.

dont want to face problems with SC later when i am doing claims later on. sweat.gif

OBD hardware is really a plug and play. However OBD port is also used by technician to access car system for diagnosis. In terms of easy to install hardwire, this is the one. Just plug in and it can work. The cabling still require to slip behind dashboard, etc but no kacau other electrical wires.

Any hardwire, be it the plug and play OBD or Fusekit hardwire can potentially void car electrical or electronic warranty if any issue arises and you got caught with it. No actual case yet tho, I think.

Many 3rd party devices that require readings from car such as performance monitoring tools for temperature, engine speed, etc used this port.

For myself, I have been using OBD hardwired DDPAi dashcams for my older cars (after warranty). So far no issue. For car under warranty, too many electronics, I takut, so I installed car manufacturer official celup but expensive dashcam.

I recently got a CRV RS hybrid.

Before this , i installed DDPAI X5 Pro with hardwire for parking monitoring on my 7 year old Honda city hybrid idcd. But warranty is over so I dared to pasang hardwire.

So to avoid voiding the first 5 years warranty, I'm thinking of getting a BlackVue DR970X-2CH Plus 4K UHD Cloud Dash Cam [NEW 2024] + Blackvue B-130A Black Power magic external battery pack.

Blackvue DR970X-2CH 4k

So, the connection will be like this:

Dashcam -> Battery pack -> Cigarette power port

This won't void the car warranty yes?
I really need that offline parking monitoring.
no need online 4G monitoring as battery would be drained a lot doh.gif
