Before I pull the trigger tomorrow on my first budget dashcam Pro+ Plus A500S, what are the set expectations or concerns on this entry level brand/model for noob?
So I received the dashcam yesterday and install it on my kid's car this morning. Is the position angle correct? If not adv sifus
I kinda like ADAS on 70mai. Few question..
Video record to set at high or low compression for 64gb SD card?
Am not sure if it's firmware but I was able to enable car park just unsure if it's working but it did prompt it'll be activated after 5 mins though not hard wired it
The diff between high and medium sensitivity for car park, what's the diff?
Also I used hoco as below instead of their adapter, is this OK?
Advisable to dismount dashcam when parked outdoor?

High compression is H.265 while the low is H.264. You need to test if your computer and phone can play H.265 or not as it requires a quite powerful spec to play. H.265 is smaller filesize while same video quality as H.264.
Car park sensitivity is higher is the slightest bump will activate. Medium requires a stronger bump.
Regarding the power as long as there is no sudden power off and on while driving means it is fine.
Noted Bro Blurjoey
Camera position OK in above pic? Finally hid the wires

Just sharing a sad night drive recorded with 70mai A500 earlier as I've not driven at night for few months now... It's such a sad drive. Hope we get back to the way it was soon 😞😞😞
Does 70mai A800s user (or any built-in battery dashcam) experience long term failure due to heat ? Thinking of buying one but my car half day park under the sun
A500 user, car parked 24/7 outside more than a year but I think I've good tint so the cam is still working well with no sign of bulging...
Hi guys, any idea what is best dash cam for old car with no USB socket?
only have cigarette lighter socket or whatever its called.
If your car parked outside find those with capacitor eg ddpai but if parked indoor most of the time, you may look for those with lithium battery in the dashcam eg 70mai
Regardless of which all come with suitable adapter for your ciggy socket or alternatively find a shop to hardwire it to your fuse box.

Hi, I just got 70mai A800s but I try download the footage from the album, it slow and keep fail after few mb transfer. Any tips on this? And what the best configuration for this unit? Video compression is high or low?

same here...
Never an issue with A500 with original SD card via wifi for over a year of using...
Guys... Ddpai Z40, since installing I find it hard to keep it connected to the app. I've changed the wifi pwd. I even logged or connect to the dashcam without switching on my phone vpn. Still when I wanna extract certain video it keeps disconnecting. Today received the firmware update and managed to update. I've formatted the sandisk ultra SD card as well. What am I missing here? Shall I return it for warranty?
Firstchoice Gadgets request for the return on faulty Z40 even without box but needs to time to inspect. Anyone any experience with warranty claim process for ddpai? Is it different from seller to seller?
hi all, been reading this thread for advice on dashcams and sill not decided what to buy. hoping for some advice.
Budget <1k each. I want to fit for 3 cars.
How much difference does 2k vs 4k really make? ost of the time i think for clarity, things like the lens size matters more than the recording resolution.
front and back camera is a must. Looked at the Viofo and 70mal. Blackvue is too expensive at rm2600+ If i was fitting just 1 car id consider it.
Anyway besides image clarity, looking for a recommendation for a camera that does NOT record the speed in the video (for obvious reasons). Not looking to increase my liability with a dashcam, but for evidence in the event of accident or from scammers, motorbike etc.
If cars parked indoor most of the time, A800S with lithium battery should fit the budget 😛
What's your requirement? Do you need rear cam? Do you need screen? Capacitor or li-ion battery?
My suggestion is ddpai mola is you don't need screen. Cause sacrificing the screen, you get higher spec. If you need screen then ddpai z40. Both are good quality at it's price point.
Ddpai UI is meh.. So friendly unlike 70mai. Can't have the best of both world at price range of $350++
