With such specs, it may have been Jazz killer if not for the front bumper … and I thought Vios's was bad enough

wonder if the yellow will look good in real

actually they try to make the front look less like JOKER smiley.. so that's why its kinda messy there.. UMW did change it compare what i see in Philippines..

The entry and mid range should sell, not sure if a 'hatch' is acceptable to Msia market, unlike a Jazz which is a category of its own, Yaris look like a compact version of the vios

why [Y]aris and not simply Yaris?

it is exactly like the Vios. and yea seems most people also dislike the bumper, haha.

much nicer than our local version IMO. i believe most people probably prefer simpler & cleaner look.

I like it. But front end still looks messy like Vios.
Anyway will check it out soon since it's already on display in Toyota PJ

Do you think it is worth buying this car considering its specs are significantly lowered than the Myvi 1.5AV ?

For me, i will go for this. Because of its T logo if budget allowed.

If you are asking me to choose between myvi and toyota yaris. I would say as below:

General preferences
Budget - Do I have budget for 70K or 55K
Car design - i would choose the car design that I like
Space - I would compare first how is the space
Interior design - I would choose the design that I like
Features - what features that do I need

Personal preferences
- If I already owned local car before and budget is allowed. I dont mind to buy a car 15K more expensive than myvi. Because it would be my first foreign car
- You cant deny that driving a Toyota Yaris is still a toyota car and driving a myvi is still local car - this is a truth

Anyhow, the money is yours. You make your decision. Some body might have owned the old myvi and like new myvi. No harm go ahead. No pressure. That is your money. If you bought a Yaris, no body will say u buy a myvi. Because both have total different design and different brand
