Do you think it is worth buying this car considering its specs are significantly lowered than the Myvi 1.5AV ?

To save 25K into my wallet in this country is very important to me after all what I get in the Myvi cannot be found in the Vios or Yaris not even aftermarket. Of course, Myvi less stylo, refinement and face when on the road. I learnt this from PT.

QUOTE(sonicmaster @ Apr 13 2019, 11:01 PM) I have visited the SC take a look at the Yaris, from front, it looks like the New Vios only slightly different. If you are not familiar with new vios, you will not be able to notice. Overall the size is larger than Jazz. I would say its closer to Mercedes A class and small abit. Off course, not same level with Mercedes for sure. Internal all same like vios. It should be more powerful than vios due to its smaller body. How's the rear headroom compares to the Vios? For those asking whether is it worth to buy this or myvi, i would say Yaris looks larger or bulkier than new myvi for sure |

QUOTE(Tsukasa @ Apr 20 2019, 07:17 PM) i bought this car today. Just paid booking fees. Seem not much ppl buying it. alot just look see only. I choose this over vios as i always prefer small car. Just my 2 cents. As I have a wife and no kids. Will this be the Yaris club or should i open a new thread. Congratulations ! Can share with us your decision of getting the Yaris other than being a 'small car' ? |

QUOTE(Tsukasa @ Apr 23 2019, 11:02 AM) I'm coming from driving toyota Prius C. Too bad malaysia dont sell MK4 Prius . If not i will purchase it. Thanks for sharing. Do you find that your thighs are touching the base of the steering wheel especially when you want to do braking switching your right foot to the brake pedal from the accelerator ?Why i buy this car. I review this car with 10 cars i tested on same day last saturday. After testing Rush, CHR, HRV, BRV, City, Vios, Aruz, MYVI, CX3, CX5 . I think Yaris is very planted and for this price the spec top all the above i tested. I dont like Vios as its too big and i only drive my wife and dont intend to have family. But im a big guy though. Anyone creating Yaris club in LYN and FB as seem no chat about it. Plan to mod autofoam and put the security tyre lock to it. Heard the new Toyo tyre is good hence will try it out. If not I will change back to my loyal XM2 which i use more than 100k km and no issue. Anyone know the booking for their car. My loan had been approved by the bank this morning . Hope everything goes well. |

Went and checked out the Yaris, Persona, Iriz, X70 all at one go. Yaris has the best seating position for my requirements in terms of size and comfort (square and long), streering wheel not touching my right thigh when moving from accelerator to brake pedal and vice versa. Rear head room and leg room is pretty good with flat floor design(again based on my seating position).
The other three models, the seats are small and hard, no go for me. The rear leg room of the Persona and Iriz is cramp. X70 has a pretty tight interior albeit looks big from the exterior perspective. |

I also checked out the rear head room of the Vios, it is a no go for me. So, the choice is pretty clear cut.

QUOTE(konchy @ May 6 2019, 01:10 PM) I want to know too. Personally prefer manual. Because can change aircon settings by feeling with fingers and without taking eyes off from the road. If touchscreen, hard to change just by feeling You can look at Proton, they have a few models with manual transmission. Perodua Myvi 1.3 has manual option. |

QUOTE(AlOnE89 @ May 13 2019, 08:55 AM) Test drove gazillion times on both Iriz and Yaris, the noticable plus point from Yaris are the better NVH, Blindspot monitoring, larger boot space. 360 degree camera and other bells and whistle is negligible to be honest. Did you notice the droning noise of the Iriz's gearbox travelling on the highway and its lethargy behaviour ?If you think topping up 25 to 30k is worthy for the brand name and the "plus points", then by all means go ahead |
