this matter you should seek Trade Enforcers to discuss the matter.. Usually they would come in and give a courtesy message whether you didn't stated [WTS] or not... but your case, really surprising, without notice....

Probably because they were suspected of being imitation goods.

Can you prove to me they are original?

yourgadget,

RBR just ask you to proof. It can be in form of picture, to proof that your Sony MSPD is original.
Just take a camera shot of the MSPD in unopen packing. Your picture will said it all. There is no need to return to your supplier if it is original. There are quite a lot who knows how to differentiate Ori and Fake MPSD.

There is no need to voice out your frustration. LYN is just a platform for you to sell. Thanks them for giving you to sell instead of venting without head and tail.

I guess the person closing his thread should send a PM to the threadstarter on suspicion of selling fake memory cards, at least he knows who to contact if he is really selling a genuine one.

this is because Imitation SONY MSPD is well-known and abundant for quite long time in the market. it is not difficult to differentiate imitation and ori MSPD (esp. from picture and pricing). as a seller you should know better before hand.

Sony Warranty for memory stick is 5 years limited warranty only. Not life time.

I find it a little biased to target on fake memory cards alone. In actual fact, fake, or so called compatible handphone batteries, accessories are also illegal but they're sold freely here. Besides that, refill printer inks, football jerseys (not the actual one of course) are illegal too. The manufacturer holds the IP for their own products and consumables. I feel that it's probably time to have a review on all items sold here.

RBR has mentioned last time that if it is illegal offline, it is illegal online so the items I mentioned above are definitely illegal, you can always call the KPDN hotline and ask them.

it is not that we target only fake memory card, but because imitation MSPD has been a big issue here since last time and it is easily distinguished out from original MSPD. a lot of members can easily find out if the MSPD sold is original or imitation, and report the topic. and hence the action taken.

because imitation MSPD has established history / cases / guidelines etc, it is easier to go against it, rather than 'a little biased towards' them.

if you found that some item sold in here are fake/imitation, feel free to report it and action will be taken. the mod team is not meant to look into every topic. and we are glad that most 'action to be taken' thread came from user report.

It's only 5 years warranty for Sony and Sandisk. However Sandisk gives lifetime warranty for its Ultra and Extreme series.

I disagree with this one after doing a quick search across the trade zone. The ink comes in refill kits. The manufacturers themselves don't make, let alone sell such kits, so what IP of theirs is being infringed?

refills ink illegal once the company printed the branded name on their product..
they only can use their own company name printed at thier product!

I guess I should rephrase that, compatible printer cartridges are illegal or using an original toner to refill is also illegal. Well, if the mods are fine with it, then it's fine with me. I have nothing against refilled stuff anyway.

I'm merely comparing the seriousness of compatible or fake products, a fake memory card, you'll only risk loosing your data as the tendency of it to get corrupted is high. However, a fake handphone battery is a different story, imagine if it explodes, who will be responsible for this? When we talk about fake batteries, it's not just another 'Cap Ayam' brand, you can find fake batteries with SE, Motorola, Nokia logo on it, to deceive buyers that they're actually buying the real thing.

Our concern is not whether your data is lost or something explodes. Our concern is legal - whether Lowyat.NET will get in trouble for allowing a member to sell fake goods.
