I guess the person closing his thread should send a PM to the threadstarter on suspicion of selling fake memory cards, at least he knows who to contact if he is really selling a genuine one.

I find it a little biased to target on fake memory cards alone. In actual fact, fake, or so called compatible handphone batteries, accessories are also illegal but they're sold freely here. Besides that, refill printer inks, football jerseys (not the actual one of course) are illegal too. The manufacturer holds the IP for their own products and consumables. I feel that it's probably time to have a review on all items sold here.
RBR has mentioned last time that if it is illegal offline, it is illegal online so the items I mentioned above are definitely illegal, you can always call the KPDN hotline and ask them.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Jun 21 2007, 01:54 AM) hmm i thought it was lifetime? my news got old i guess? It's only 5 years warranty for Sony and Sandisk. However Sandisk gives lifetime warranty for its Ultra and Extreme series.

QUOTE(wKkaY @ Jun 21 2007, 10:06 AM) I disagree with this one after doing a quick search across the trade zone. The ink comes in refill kits. The manufacturers themselves don't make, let alone sell such kits, so what IP of theirs is being infringed? I guess I should rephrase that, compatible printer cartridges are illegal or using an original toner to refill is also illegal. Well, if the mods are fine with it, then it's fine with me. I have nothing against refilled stuff anyway. I'm merely comparing the seriousness of compatible or fake products, a fake memory card, you'll only risk loosing your data as the tendency of it to get corrupted is high. However, a fake handphone battery is a different story, imagine if it explodes, who will be responsible for this? When we talk about fake batteries, it's not just another 'Cap Ayam' brand, you can find fake batteries with SE, Motorola, Nokia logo on it, to deceive buyers that they're actually buying the real thing.
