most ppl have expensive phones with out using half its feature list. some ppl have HDTV and watch Astro using composite cables. some ppl swear compressed MP3s sounds "just like" high end CD players. surely, 37" full HD can make a difference (even if it is purely psychological?) when u have a proper 1080p source at a normal viewing distance if possible bring 2 ps3 and test those philips screens at best denki. one set it to 720p and one set it to 1080p and compare side and side, LoL. QUOTE(koopa @ Aug 27 2007, 03:07 AM) Im going Taiwan 1st quarter of next month. Who wants me to tapau PS3 games from there? Normally the games will cost around 1700nt (RM 177). Forgot what they call the currency. i think PSN asian prepaid cards should be on sale in TWN eh? but TWN cards will only work for TWN PSN accounts. BTW, anyone have jalan to bulk SGP PSN prepaid cards? with MGO, Wipeout HD, and GT5P (i doubt its free) coming soon, time for me to start preparing to buy stuff from PSN P-A got sell, but they sell JPN/HK card only to create a HK PSN account, can use English only or all the fields are chinese input? PrinceOfPersia, no problem. rmb to activate the hidden hi-res code, plugin the sixaxis USB cable when booting up the game to get the purple screen. however, i find not much difference after upscaling this buygame2.com online shopping system quite primitive and i think their support staff not very good in English when answering emails. LoL http://buygame2.com/eng/productdetail.php?product_id=8886god of war 1 asian also out but the price quite high compared to the official TWN price of NT$399 This post has been edited by acougan: Aug 28 2007, 05:46 PM

hm, come on ppl, no flaming each other. comparing the 360 subforum and here, really reflect badly on playstation gamers. just stay here and talk about playstation stuff. if someone is overly negative and disappointed, just leave him/her be. ignore function can also work. why would negative posts by another forumer suddenly diminish my enjoyment of my playstation3? Lol, i don't work for sony so i don't feel to defend any points or arguement either. i enjoy my ps3 ......... and my 360 and ps2, if thats a crime, please lock me up

i doubt that account was banned, maybe just temporarily suspended based on a high warning level.
i don't mind him at all. most attention seekers are harmless and amusing, nothing more.

how to share PSN games between friends and family across different ps3 sets (from neogaf) (warhawk PSN is an exception, it has DRM restrictions, maybe in the future MGO and GT5P will also have DRM?) QUOTE INSTRUCTIONS/FAQ ON GAME SHARING
For the "sender":
1. Purchase and download a game from the Playstation Store 2. Go to account management for the account and delete the billing information from your personal information if the PS3 saved your credit card info 3. Change your password temporarily for the share 4. Give login info (email address and password) to the receiver 5. When the share is completed, change the password
For the "receiver":
1. In the PS3 XMB menu, add a new user account on your PS3 and sign in to it 2. Select the network on the XMB and create an existing Playstation Network account 3. Use the login information given from the "sender" to create the existing account 4. Login into the account 5. Enter into the Playstation store 6. Click on "Download List" on the upper right near the person's userID and select the game you wish to download and hit download 7. After game is downloaded, notify the "sender" that the download is complete so they can change the password to the account 8. Enjoy!
Q/A:
Q: Should I worry about misuse for my account? A: If you taken the steps to delete your credit card/billing information and changed your password temporary, it should be safe. If you're paranoid about someone stealing your account, only share with people that you really, really trust
Q: Can't I just make a sub-account and use that to share the games? A: Not sure if this is allowed, but someone could try and report the results
Q: I just received the game from the sender and the game won't play, help! A: In order to play the game on your PS3, the game must be activated AND the user account that was used to download the game must stay on your PS3. For example, say you created user account "User1" on your local Playstation 3 and you downloaded a full version of Lemmings. After you download the game, you MUST keep "User1" on your Playstation 3 in order for the game to run on your PS3. If you somehow delete the user account, you must relogin with the sender's account and redownload the game. If the game is still on your HDD, simply redownload then cancel to re-authorize the game.
Q: Do I have to login with the sender's account to play the game? A: No, it just needs to be authorized on your PS3. You can play the game using your account thereafter. Just do not delete the user account as mentioned above or else the game will be locked out.
Q: I'm trying to download the game from the Playstation store but it is not appearing in the store. Where is it? A: Games that are purchased disappear from the store. You have to download the game going through the "Download List" screen on the upper right of the Playstation Store.
Q: How many times can I share a game? A: The store says you can share up to 5 different Playstation 3's.
i'm thinking of just getting those prepaid asian psn cards. so far only a few games not available in asian store - eg. super stardust and puzzle fighter remix. This post has been edited by acougan: Sep 3 2007, 03:53 PM

^ if someone who has bought the game is willing to share their account info and password, yes a normal PSN can be shared between 5 PS3 http://asia.playstation.com/eng_sg/index.php?q=node/1048http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-zu-49-en.htmlactually they have begin selling PSN prepaid cards. so far JPN, HK, TWN and SGP have them for sale. T5DR should be about RM80 if bought on Asian PSN stores.

^ i'm not sure about the tax/expiry. my guess is no tax and no expiry date (similar to Asian XBLM) but i think HK cards can only top-up HK PSN account. cannot mix and match with SGP/TWN cards. http://asia.playstation.com/eng_hk/index.php?q=node/954http://asia.playstation.com/eng_sg/index.php?q=node/1016i think P-A should have them back in stock soon, the tekken pack actually has 3 cards, but i think have to top-up all three cos the values are HKD100,70,30. for SGP store i think the game is SGD33.99, so top-up 2 cards enough already. http://asia.playstation.com/sg/ps3/ps3_softupdate.htmQUOTE An update to the PS3(tm) system software was released on September 4, 2007. If you update your PS3(tm) system, the system software will be version 1.92.
The PLAYSTATION(R)3 system software version 1.92 update includes the following: Playability status with the PS3(tm) system has changed for some PLAYSTATION(R)3 format titles.
i think just some minor bug fixes which helps warhawk and LAIR. hope they work hard and include HOME for 2.00

QUOTE(azmirhere @ Sep 7 2007, 05:45 PM) I wish someday i will opened my videogames rent shop.but what the heck, goverment has rejected my idea.lol how about a home-based/internet-based business? i rmb last time some forumers started a internet business dealing with UMD PSP games. i think easy piracy made their business model not viable is there enough ppl looking to rent ori 360 games, hd-dvd, blu-ray and ps3 games via poslaju to make such a business model feasible?

QUOTE(engineered_miri @ Sep 7 2007, 06:00 PM) realisticly speaking, how big of an inventory are we talking about here? how many ps3 and 360 games are we talking about here? i think including 360 games, ps3 games, hd-dvd, blu-ray movies, we are lokking at around 100++ AA games/movies where ppl are willing to pay money to "rent". the problem is how many copies of games/movies to stock up? if u only have 2 copies of games like bioshock or LAIR, all the customers will fight for them. LoL

something like netflix or gamefly business model in US. what is needed are -a good inventory system to sort out which customer gets what and when -a commercial disc resurfacing and disc fixing system to fix disc scratches (this can be expensive) -membership fees could be tied to a high deposit or credit card subscription -needs a courier service that have insurance against lost/damage items but when all is said and done, such a business model may never break if the customer base is not large enough to sustain it. even if u launch such a system in SGP/HK, it may never be profitable

the problem is most M'sians are not patient ppl when it comes to entertainment products when easy piracy is very accesible.
i have no problems playing "old" games/titles or watching "old" movies as long as i haven't been spoilt on the plot. most ppl want only the latest/newest and playing/enjoying them as soon as they are released or even before they are "officially released" via BT. LoL

^the tekken pack PSN cards looks good i wish they make more collectible cards when GT5P or MGO comes around. i think the TWN PSN store is chinese only(?) while the HK store is billingual. most of the stuff on Asian stores are the same although HK store has a preview of Infernal Affairs I BD. stranglehold demo is fun. felt alil guilty shooting up all those HK kuwak-chais, who don't look evil enough - hm, midway games don't have Asian versions, do they? i wonder if another publisher will publish it in Japan? any secret unlockable costumes for Fatt-koh in the final game?
