^ Asian PS3 and JPN PS3 is basically the same, only Asian PS3 plays DVD region 3 while JPN PS3 plays DVD region 2.

You are right. Southeast Asia use the same blu-ray region as North America, Japan, Hong Kong etc.

GT5P blu-ray price trully outrageous was hoping the pricing was more similar to PSN TK5DR:O or PSN Warhawk. if PSN GT5P can be shared with a few PS3s, then good lor. hopefully, pricing for MGO, Wipeout HD, LBP is more reasonable.

this is quite playable on the ps3. quite cheap with bonus region 2 DVD, 16:9 support, loading is faster, JPN voice acting is more suitable for the game atmosphere. if u r stuck, can get gamefaqs walkthrough

^ actually i nvr tried registration, but if you do it, best try to use a valid SGP address (copy from google?) rather than simply just type some random text and number. and yeah, have fun with your ps3, d/loading game demos is a good idea

weird, AFAIK 1.93 introduce no changes in the display settings. try checking/refreshing the display settings.
