MotorStorm 2.0 Update on September 4th



Sources from the official European PlayStation forums confirmed that MotorStorm is now version 2.0, and the team is getting everything ready for the MotorStorm Revenge Weekend Network Download Pack which will be ready for download on 4th of September. The forum post also lets word out on not one but two different vehicle packs that are slated for release by the end of the month.

The patch fixes a number of things including headset support has been fixed to get around pesky firewall conflicts as well as communication can now be heard exclusively through the headset. Other bugs squashed include track exploits for Grizzly and Raingod Mesa, purchasers of Coyote Revenge can now race that track in Online and Time Attack, and Purchasers of Eliminator Mode will see their results contribute to Fame Ranking.

If I were a Helghast I wouldn't be jumping over cover to get away from ISA, I would be jumping over to get to them. Halo's AI is "simple" defensive AI, the enemy hides and comes out when you get there.

No difference between 60Gb and 80Gb version except for the HDD. If you buy 60GB, you can always upgrade your HDD even bigger than 80GB. I've upgraded mine to 160GB.

Advice ar? I think no advice one. Unlike PSP, have to check for dead-pixel. For PS3, so far it's okay. Just need to ask your preference for games.

Confirmed: FIFA 08 Demo on September 13th



FIFA 08 demo is scheduled to release on the PSN on September 13th. EA has confirmed it on the game's official forums:

Ratchet & Clank Demo on October 4



Sony's told IGN that a demo of upcoming Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will hit PSN on October 4.

News of a demo first surfaced during an interview with the Insomniac team on website TheDaily.com.au when an unhelpfully nameless Insomniac employee commented, "We essentially flat-out demolish the symbol of PlayStation 2 Ratchet & Clank: the city of Metropolis [in Tools of Destruction]. Players will get a sneak peek of this level via a downloadable demo that should hit the PlayStation Network Store in the not-too-distant future."

IGN contacted SCEE for confirmation and, indeed, it seems PlayStation 3 owners will have the chance to download and revel in the game's opening level from October 4.
