Agreed. It's not like the UI are totally different in different Android skins. Just minor here and there. Nothing as bad as a deal breaker.

Actually a lot of gadget journalists also misunderstood what stereo is.

That's why I really love Leica out of camera color profiles, especially smooth and monochrome. None of them looks like reality, but like I mentioned before, all award winning photos don't look like reality at all. It's just too bad I can't stand the teardrop notch lol.

Actually if you notice, the P30Pro display curve is like S7 edge. The curve is more dramatic and less smooth than S10.

No. P30 Pro new SuperSensing main camera sensor is better than M20 P. That's not to say M20 P sensor is bad. It's just the we have a new king.

I think M20P is a good buy at that price. The screen should be better. At least got dual speakers and much cheaper. Can you share the link?

Both BOE or LG are not as good as Samsung.

Stereo means the sound has left and right channels. Some phones have dual speakers but they separate treble and bass, not by channels. That's not stereo.

The P30 40MP sensor is a new sensor. The new main sensor is slightly better in low light but both doesn't have OIS.

Mate 20 Pro is cheaper bro. Check shopee...the cheapest can be had for RM2550. I would go for the Mate 20 Pro. The specs is more balanced. You gain dual speakers (although P30 one speaker is louder), QHD+ display, and wireless charging without the need of special casing. The only thing P30 is better is the main camera. It's only noticeable during low light where the ISO is lower on P30 but if we are in low light condition, the Night Mode will solve that issue.

Come to think about it, Huawei is a master in advertising + marketing strategy. I suspect the number of pre-order is limited, likely is much smaller than Samsung S10 series. The freebies are only Huawei phones relevant. Basically no chance for scrapers to make quick profits for this pre order batch. What a genius master stroke.

For photo, it's all about the shutter speed and how steady is the photographer's hand. I think it's doing just fine. Otherwise Mate 20 thread will be full of blurry photos lol. Unlike Mi 9 (good 40MP sensor but no OIS), the Mate 20 has a big sensor which can shoot at ISO not as high as Mi 9.

From the specs, the P30 Pro and P30 main camera sensor is the same but different lens and no OIS to make P30 a bit worse. Otherwise why pay RM1.1k more for P30? Haha

No need buy. Huawei phone is durable. Normally if got issue also will surface within the first year. And the resale value is very bad after 6-mth anyway.

IMHO is the other way round la. Photography is all about lighting. For outdoor photography, that would be the sun. Easier to get usable sun light at kampong area. No high rise building blocking.

The photographer struggled with the zoom lens composition. Yes he might want to show the zoom ability but it's just not attractive.

Even myself, I am not comfortable with high zoom lens, except for sports (P30 pro can't track focus that fast) and portrait (90mm for DSLR). In that case, no need for 5x zoom.

Video is not as good as S10 though. And the mic quality is below S10 ... But still much better than Pixel. Pixel's mic is a POS.

Are you sure you can see the difference with naked eye? If P30 screen lose to Note 9, then vs S10 will be even bigger gap.

Actually I also noticed the S10 AMOLED is not as straining when compared side by side to the P20 Pro I had. It's not about the brightness because I matched their brightness and the was clearer when both are dimmed at dark environment. I think it could be due to the blue color wavelength. I'm not sure.
