Wow, Ipad Air 4 is getting A14!
This is definitely good buy

iPad Air 4 with A14 and iPad 8th gen with A12X? Still skeptical with this leak.

Apple has never debut a new gen A-series chip with an iPad. Hard to imagine they would release a mid-range iPad with a processor that is faster than the as-of-now current top spec iPhone and iPad Pro.
The A13 seems more likely to me, as the price would most probably maintain at the 2k+ range.

As for the base iPad, the positioning of the product hardly requires the extra cores in the A12X. The A12 is already a very decent upgrade over the A10 in the iPad 7th gen.

Of course, I will be happy to be proven wrong. 😜

i doubt this. but if we get and the price is reasonable... then no reason to buy the ipad pro.
hence they will probably supply the lower end chipset. but still capable. A13 is a fantastic chipset.... no need pro already.

Correction: Apple DID debut A5 with the iPad 2 back in 2011 before iPhone 4S, so there is a precedent after all. Getting excited now..

Not worth it at all comparing to the new iPad Air 4.

All new design, USB-c port, A14 chip, Apple Pencil 2 etc.

But I view it as a better buy than the 17xx I paid for my kid's iPad 10.2 - although that had double the storage.

I see. but I think it is not worth it to get the iPad Air 3 if one is considering iPad Air. Will be more worth it to get the iPad Air 4 directly.

RM700 difference is quite a lot though

True though. But given the all screen display. It will look more ok over the next many years instead of the old design.
