QUOTE(realitec @ Jun 24 2019, 04:28 PM) iPad mini 5th comes with 10W adapter right. If i use the cable given and 12W adapter, would it be any different? Like faster charging? Would it hurt the iPad in the long term charging it with higher W adapter? apple do offer 29w charger for faster charging. so its natively can be charged faster, it won’t hurt the ipad |

QUOTE(dikae @ Jun 25 2019, 03:45 PM) it wont hurt the ipad definitely, but the battery yes.... the high heat will eventually weaken the battery life in long run.. I don't think so.. The battery is capable of fast charging, because it was built as is.. Just that apple is so stingy they don't supply fast charger in the box.. |

QUOTE(marquis @ Aug 9 2019, 12:43 PM) Anyone here using the iPad mini for sketches/drawing? I'm not good in drawing. But apple pencil is really good, feel like using pen.. for drawing then depend on which app u want to use. But i believe it is very good for that. I write notes a lot with my ipad. I tried surface pro for writing before, i think its more convenient with ipadI'm getting in touch with my more artistic side and would like a super portable device. Currently borrowing my friends Surface Pro, but would much rather my own device. Gonna pop in to a store to give it a try, but wanted to ask actual users here who might have their own pearls of wisdom. |

QUOTE(marquis @ Aug 13 2019, 08:37 AM) My worry is the size actually. Reviews are saying that speed etc is all good. Also what you said regarding the pencil. Only downside in most reviews is the size - it's kinda small so gotta constantly zoom in and out. I'm not sure if I wanna drop almost 2k for a mini + pencil, or save up for a pro + pencil instead. That'll easily cost me double though. So a bit hesitant for something that I'm just starting out on. The pro model is definitely better overall, can't argue. I owned ipad pro 11" before i changed to this mini. Main reason is portability. Other than that everything is better on ipad pro 11".. but i want to bring my ipad anywhere bcoz its my source of many things, hence i resorted to mini.. but in terms of performance and value for money, i think this ipad mini worth every pennyEdit: i should add, portability also related to robustness and durability.. when i use ipad 11", i feel so fragile, the feel of holding 5k in my hands and it will be gone anytime. QUOTE(marquis @ Aug 13 2019, 02:29 PM) Well that's what a lot of reviews are saying. Problem with the bigger iPads is...well, they're bigger. Not so portable means won't always be with me. Having said that, if it's so small, it's hard to get anything done, will it still be used? Well having experience with both ipad 11" and ipad mini, I don't feel usong pencil on this mini makes me crying for a bigger screen like the ipad 11".. i think its fine, to meHence asking for feedback from actual content creators here. It was brought up in one of the reviews actually. The pencil feels like drawing with a crayon on the mini Just hoping for an actual user to chime in before I try it in person at a store. |

QUOTE(marquis @ Aug 14 2019, 02:25 PM) Oh? So it's the same with a Mac then huh. Cool that they made it the same across all OS. Thanks. i use the pencil mostly for scribbling and note taking. i do drawing only to have fun with my kid tho. i can’t advise you about professional drawing. sorry. but i do think professional art user would go for the biggest ipadThanks for the confirmation. Something to consider if one needs data, exclusively for an iPad. Right? Is there actually a usage case where it's beneficial? Genuinely curious. Ah! A user with practical usage. Thanks for the input man! I too was eyeing the 11'' pro but the size doesn't look to be all too portable. The price tag is another thing to think about too. Another question if you don't mind - do you do any sketching work on the mini? Or is it mostly for scribbling/note-taking? |

i compared screen size between note 10+ and this ipad mini, because it crossed my mind to change my note taking device to note 10+. although on paper note 10+ screen size is 6.8', ipad mini is 7.9', the actual physical screen estate is a lot larger on ipad mini.. oh well, the screen measurement is actually from corner to corner, so..
