It got me thinking, why on earth Samsung wanna make life difficult? They could've added a small little led light beneath the hearing grille like this honor phone, everyone will be rejoiced & won't have to wait for uncertain future updates for notification light.. the s10 could've become the all rounder phone to beat by others..haiishhh

sure, it could be one of their strategy to maximize profits & all, but it makes one wonder, why skimp onto something that may prove to be useful & beneficial to user experience which might take a little bit of effort to embed the led feature onto the design architecture? undeniably, those ppl like me can opt to use AOD feature that came with the device, but as we all know, AOD vs led light notification, AOD uses all the screen display whilst the led light uses single led diode to light up any incoming notification (layman term)..so, i believe led lights sips lesser battery juice as compared to AOD where in my case, when i switched off the AOD feature, my battery drained lesser & able to gain more juice throughout the day.. oh well, it's just my 2 cts, doesn't matter anyway, bought the phone already, might as well just get over with it & hoping that there will be an update to unlock the notch notification..

hopefully there will be a future software update on that..

true to that, it's good to have extra features like this to exist & how it has been proven to be very useful & effective notification indicator..rather than, urmm..battery sipping AOD..

agree with you..phone technology keeps on changing very fast..if we have money to spend, every 6 mths to 1 yr change new phone diff story la..same like pc master race..every year upgrade mobo+proc+gpu.. last² eat maggie cup at the office...

mine working just fine after the update..why? yours having problem?

notice some improvements after the recent update:-

1. Fingerprint sensor seems to be more faster to register
2. Battery drain issue has been resolved (i presume so), b4 update, my phone would drain 9-10% overnight (AOD turned on), 5-6% (AOD off), this morning, 3-4% drain (which is normal i think)..
3. lesser signal drop (from 4G+ to 4G, occasionally dropped to 3G) especially at my office..using Digi btw

i'm highly anticipating the notch light notification feature in the next update (hopefully!)

Currently i'm using ringke fusion x..very nice transparent case if you want to showcase the nice back color of ur phone while having good protection against accidental drop..

also, you might want to consider spigen liquid air..nice non-slippery grip with slim design

yes bro, i'm also using liquid air from spigen..the case is quite slim when holding in hand & i can confirm that the case doesn't feel slippery. it has some elevated lip bumps on the upper & lower part of the case, in case of accidental drop, but the side rubber profile feels a bit loose compared to fusion x..cos maybe it's my personal preferences, i like firm, sturdy case that doesn't flex or flab like the fusion x as it `locks' the phone tightly..hehe

nillkin frosted cases used to be my favourite case, since S7 Edge, but after few accidental drops, my TP easily gets shattered due to the direct impact onto the ground..lol

also, what you mentioned about the rubberized texture on the frosted case is actually not rubber, but plastic rubber..that's why when your hand sweats, it tends to get slippery

did you switch on Always On Display bro? my SOT also around 2hrs plus on based on my daily average use, but i do heavy calls & constant usage of Whatsapp, besides push notification on gmail & yahoo..

confirmed the SP will touch surface first as this case doesn't have the elevated lip around the corners..it's nice & slim..but the caveat is on the protection..

have a few bro, like the transparent case from spigen..one forumer is using it currently..i think the case name is ultra hybrid or something
