on a lighter note.

I'm constantly facing this issue everyday.

When my phone is in the pocket, it will sometimes be unlocked (though i've switched it off before putting into my pocket) - and start doing things when i'm on the move. Typing gibberish, skipping my tracks in the gym, opening apps and stuffs.

Already have my 'Accidental Touch Protection' switched on......any of you facing such weird occurrences?

No such issue when my phone is in my jeans pocket. Your screen is facing outwards inside the pocket or inwards ?

V4! Fantastic! Also. I notice I can’t find anywhere on the phone to setup auto sync timing for email, backup or even WhatsApp. It’s either off or on.

I used to recall I was able to set this up..not sure if this is Pie feature though, i don’t mind doing manual, just auto backup/sync timing would be so convenient...

Yes, happens to me too. I believe it is a bug with the "Accidental Touch Protection" now working as it should. Try covering the proximity sensor next to the front camera and tap on the screeen. It will still wake up the screen. This should not be the case.

I think I encountered this too especially in pocket.
Perhaps they need to improve this in next software update.
Didn't experience this with S8.
*

Is the s10e fingerprint scrolling gimmicky? How well does it work? Imo this is really useful feature if it works well.  Too bad I'm a lefty...

Personally I welcome battery discussions la

But those about overnight draining should stop. Unless it's like 10% in an hour
*
Yeahh, different person different settings, different apps installed, different environment and many more, of course it won't works the same for everyone lol.

No.

theoretically even with the bug it still shouldnt unlock by itself because it still needs your fingerprint to unlock

unless like i mention above, you enabled on body detection in Smart Lock

I tested, u need to fully touching the screen and cover up at the proximity sensor only it will block any touch. If far a bit bit, like even 1mm, it seems will wake the screen lol.

I think we're not talking about unlock.
I think the screen will wake up to Lock Screen and will trigger you to unlock with your preferred unlock method.

it's highly likely due to double tap to wake - many others here have seen similar issues where the proximity sensor isn't working with this option, hence it turning on. try turning off that option

also, if you have the option checked for "additional touch sensitivity" you may want to try turning that off too

hmm..well yeah i do have the double tap to wake switched on, not the additional touch sensitivity.

Let me try that and see......but the double tap to wake is a feature i like to use...well, got to try and see..thanks
