Means total cutoff is it for prepaid?
*
Yes, your data is totally cutoff, and no PAYU for prepaid.
For calling, I don't know cause still have free call quota.

Not sure for Postpaid, don't use any.

Then i guess your area got many Unifi Bebas user.
That why 1.5Mbps...even though use B618
*
It could be many users in his area.
For my area, I'm using B618 = 7+Mbps DL and UL
My cousin using Tenda 4G680 = 7+Mbps DL and UL
sad.gif a waste of money.

hi bro, can share how to set b618?
*
It's plug n play. I didn't change anything.
BTW, just to confirm if yours is B618s-65d?
B618s-65d support LTE band 5 in most area, whereas B618s-22d has band 38 which many areas DO NOT have.

Speed unlimited 7mbps for 28 days actually a good price actually...

Enough for light user and small family like me
*
I’ve been using it for a year. It’s indeed a very very good alternative to Shitmyx which only support max 2mbps + intermittently DC in my area.
My usage is more or less 300gb monthly. It’s truly a good price if it has a stable connection in your area.

He is saying waste of money buying B618 for Unifi mobile. Cheap Tenda 680 also can do the job.
*
If we’re comparing the price,
Streamyx 8mbps = RM160/month. It costs RM1920 for a year. shocking.gif
Unifi mobile BEBAS = RM20 x 52weeks. It costs RM1040 for a year. thumbup.gif
A different of RM880 saving for buying the B618 modem. rclxms.gif
Even compared to shitmyx 2mbps, it’s still more pricier than unifi BEBAS.
In the end, it’s just a way of consolation to myself. laugh.gif

Other than speed, stability and ping also offer by B618..

Actually bought B618 for i150..but cant afford now due to the price..
Agree..depend on usage..

So far looks stable..see how...

But no more HD streaming with 2-4 devices silmutaneously..haha
just now testing ...looks okay lahh...

I bought B618 for i150 too. But, Digi download speed is ONLY good in early morning, upload speed is -1mbps 24/7. Bad latency at 100-200ms ping (only one user). confused.gif it’s not worth the price in my area.
Then, I learned this unifi mobile Bebas is hotspot allowed. Using until now after testing it.
It’s very stable + about half-priced rclxm9.gif comparing to Digi.

If only band 5....bound to get congested lo.
You use Huawei B618?
*
It's different for each location, my area only has band 5. It's very stable till today.
NOT ALL places have coverage for band 38 or 40, that's the reason unifi mobile FAQs states "encourage you to use a smartphone that supports Band 5 services to experience the best quality of service."

QUOTE(anthraxxxx @ Jun 18 2019, 09:30 PM)
Hotpot is unlimited ah?
*
Yes, unlimited hotspot but with capped speed at 7+mbps.
For a year and still using this as my home broadband.

Unlimited hotspot? Interesting... can use zte mf910 mifi?
IINM, got 'limited time' stated at the website, right? Not unlimited anymore after this?
*
Yes, "limited time" until further notice, and it's already stated since day 1 unlimited data add-ons offered.
Don't ask me until when, I believe nobody could tell u. smile.gif

Yes, you can use it in MiFi / CPE routers for hotspot, just make sure it supports band 5.

anyone using prepaid bebas weekly RM20 unlimited??

are you noticed that after renewal speed will become so slow for few hours, before can reach max speed 7mbps?
*
Not only weekly bebas, daily is the same too.
Just restart your modem or turn on flight mode, then it should return stable again.

Has this kicked off yet? Unifi Mobile has officially use Celcom infra or not yet?

Coz at my area, the Unifi Mobile LTE speed is terrible. But Celcom LTE is good.
So if Unifi already use Celcom infra i might need to retry back
*
If your area already has unifi mobile LTE, I believe you can’t connect to Celcom.

The bebas is cheaper than monthly unlimited?
I was getting 1.5mbps for dl and 7mbps for upload
*
Unifi mobile POSTPAID for RM99/month, you get unlimited data (only phone), and unlimited CALL.

Unifi mobile PREPAID for RM20/week, you get unlimited data (hotspot-able). NO CALL OR SMS.

Cheaper or not, it depends on your usage.

Got other better option too... hahaha..
*
Of course, there's a cheaper option if you are lucky.
Digi PREPAID for RM1/day unlimited data (hotspot-able) but capped at 3mbps.

If you still want cheaper than this, then you start one ISP unlimited for RM10/month. Many people will support you. smile.gif

Yes, I did some further reading and I think so too. If I'm not mistaken, tethering of any unlimited data plan is capped at 7 or 8 Mbps. Do correct me if I'm wrong.
*
All unlimited add-ons are capped at 7+Mbps, whether you tethering or not.

thx for your help

if what you meant by ookla is speedtest.net, i'm not so sure why some people say its showing fake result and yet they manage to be the most famous speedtest platform in the world

that speedtest.com.sg that you used, is actually using Ookla (written on their page as we can see), but they just use 1 server which is the NewMedia Express SG server, unlike the speedtest.net it will detect the best ping for you when it is on auto, and many different servers in different countries if you choose it manually

these are taken next after each other, given how not stable is GSM/LTE based of internet, i think the difference is just normal
[attachmentid=10279614][attachmentid=10279615]
*
I'm a bit lazy to type a lot.
What I meant was ookla is NOT showing FAKE, but the BEST speed for the ISP.
You'll get a high speed anytime regardless of network congestion or not.
I noticed this only happens on ookla app for phone, whereas the desktop version will not.

QUOTE(fat16 @ Jul 9 2019, 10:44 AM)
how come your unifi ip adress is 64.233.173.* ? that is google ip
*
I don't know, I just connect to unifi mobile via phone WiFi.
Didn't care IP address so long as I could serve the net.
