Is there any other way besides top up, as I have had enough balance in the simcard to make calls in case of the alarm being triggered.
The alarm is not consuming any data. Are you sure can reload any amount? From the app I see the reload amount is fixed at RM10, 30, 50, 100, like cannot enter custom amount.. if every 89 days top up RM10 also a lot, as the simcard is hardly to make any calls except triggered to do so
*
If you really want to save your money without reloading every 3 months just buy onexox sim for rm10 and purchase 333 min at rm30, use them for 28 months. At 28th month buy sim from other telco at rm10 and mnp to onexox for rm10 at the end of month. Transfer the minutes from old sim to new sim and use it for another 28 month. Rinse and repeat.

Cost:

1st 28 month : Rm40

Next 28 months : Rm20

Of course, cheapest is Unifi but need to work a bit, just trigger alarm/taking out sim to make 1 sms every 3 months

I tested it again this morning in Bangsar and in USJ... side by side with my Hotlink

Unifi: 3-9mbps
HOtlink: 30-45mbps

Seems like Unifi is cheaper but the quality is far from Hotlink.

Speed is depending on location. My expensive
Maxis 3 to 5 mbps and up and down
Unifi 6 to 8 mbps and with stable connection

Unifi for Unlimited LtE surely capped speed lo.

Buy lah the Quota LTE 4G Unifi and do compare lo.
Hotlink where got Unlimited quota unless you on Maxis BB plan.

Hotlink full speed as long that area not congested.

Since when maxis got unlimited broadband?
Are you referring to the package that is sold ONLY by MAXIS NEP in Georgetown?

Yes, it's tied to Maxis Home Fiber.

Maxis one prime = Maxis fiber + one maxis 98.
Then, your Maxis RM98 will become "unlimited".

If your area already has fiber connection, you might not need this Maxis One Prime. So, it's pointless.

Well, i'm Maxis One Prime subscriber an i need it because maxis fiber 89 max speed is 30Mbps while Maxis One 98 max speed is 100+Mbps.

I've tried Unifi Mobile bebas prepaid and the speed is only 2 - 8 Mbps at my place. Too much lag when playing online games.

Maxis 4g speed is highly depend on location. In my area, unifi mobile is slower but the speed is more consistent compare to maxis.

It works for which modem?

As long as the modem support LTE band 5, it'll work.
For a year using as home broadband, I'm using Huawei B618s-65d, whereas my cousin is using Tenda 4G680 v2.
Both modem also support calling features.

Unifi mobile will deduct a big chunk of data first and return to you later.

It seems that unifi deducts by 100mb block then return the unused balance later. You can check the unifi mobile app by making a note on your current data balance in the morning, afternoon, night and next morning. You will see the actual balance.

Example ..

balance at 6.22 pm 8/9
Attached Image

balance at 12.47 am 9/9
Attached Image

100mb is back to data quota after actual usage is deducted (actual usage is about 3mb)

Try to remove APN and reset a new one.
Try changing SIM slot/another phone.

Used to have this problem on redmi note 5 after May or June update. You can try unifi SIM on other phone and see if same problem persist. In my case the problem only happens on redmi note 5, working well on mi 9 & mi a2.
