Throttled to 64kbps if you are using one of the Unlimited passes on Unifi Mobile (also standard on U Mobile and Digi unlimited data plans). No throttle on torrent applies when you are using high speed passes with limited quota.

Hi, may i know if anyone has asked for a SIM card replacement before? Is it possible for the prepaid line? And is it FOC or chargeable?

There is no options for transfer credit..

Previously I use vpn to streaming video (which is not youtube or dailymotion), improvement a bit speed.
But after 1 hour, again throtted down speed..

Maybe unifi detect ur usage keep on-going with non-stop, so automatic throtted again..

So it might be the same if use vpn downloading torrent.

Hellow, pls help to answer if you can, thanks in advance.

1. Does TM always, never fail to send sms to remind user nearing expiry? I lazy to track on calendar because i am passive user

2. Which payment channel for reload does not charge extra? FPX transaction do charges right? sorry i noob i dunno

3. According to their FAQ, "usage, buy any add-ons, or perform a reload" extend validity. Does the reload action proved its extension effect? because i didnt read anyone with that experience.

I just register a new number like 10 minutes ago, and i track my order on the apps. I opt for self-pickup. The status is processing but it also said the order ready for collection. Is that weird because it should take 7 working days? Also the email came with the invoice said "Take note: Your Unifi Mobile SIMs will be ready for self pick-up. " Is it ready or what? i am too stupid , sorry for spamming

OK, noted with thanks. Do you know if the TM kiosk at Sunway Pyramid can do this? Coz normal TM Point open during office hours only, kinda hard to arrange.

From my experience:
1) Not sure as I normally try to use it once before the 3 months' expiry.
2) Normally I use credit card, no extra charge
3) Not sure as I'm using it from time to time, but I believe the answer should be "yes" as it's listed in the T&C
4) Yes most likely you can collect it immediately

Yup... you can do it at sunway pyramid. I did at this place too ( ard 8pm) .

I managed to get the sim and register the account. The sim registration is so fast (in one day) i cant believe it. Pls bear with me for more questions:

1. Is it a must to use phone to reload? i kinda scared about phone banking security compare to my computer. Also, can i use other phone (not having the unifi sim) to reload ? since the apps seem based on account.

2. Does the free LTE only data or the 50MB 3G/LTE data used first? because i want to make sure my phone can use LTE data before purchasing any data plan

1. To reload you need the phone app. Doesn't matter if the app is on the phone itself together with sim or any other phone without that sim as long as mobile@unifi app is signed in with your account (the unifi phone no. & password)

Not necessarily you need to do the online banking on your phone. You also can buy mobile prepaid thru online banking on your pc if your bank has the feature such as Maybank2u .. your phone will receive sms with reload pin then key-in the reload pin in mobile@unifi app on phone to reload.

2. If your phone has band 5, 38 or 40 and coverage for LTE, the LTE data will be use first. When there is no LTE coverage or phone doesn't support those radio band for LTE then the 50mb LTE/3g will be use

Thanks for quick and detailed reply. I guess i will have to buy the 3G only data plan. I think this plan is the currently most cheap in the long run for very passive user, while onexox is the most cheapest if you dont mind to change phone no. every two years

No idea if this plan is most cheap in the long run if you're on 3g only because you're wasting the lte data. If you're on 4g/lte phone maybe yes.

My sister ported in from digi. Previously she had to spend rm20 per month but since on unifi mobile she only spent rm15 for 1gb lte + 1gb 3g/lte and rm10 for 60 mins call from early Dec till now still not finish yet so she's happy with the savings she has since Dec.

Onexox .. bit complicated for me as you need to buy pass first then use bit by bit. I prefer straight forward. My main line now is Yoodo .. RM5 per month for 50 mins calls which is more than enough for my usage. Then for data, my unifi mobile (as I'm using dual sim phone) as still have total about 50gb with 3 no to rotate.

i received email from them 10 days before expiry..
they ask me to re-insert the sim and use the line (data, sms or call) or perform reload to ensure line active..
i'm waiting on 28 March 2019..see whether line cancelled or not..
on 18 March 2019, already used 2MB data.. brows.gif brows.gif

And to @ckpv5, sorry i didnt make it clear. What i meant was Unifi offers very good, almost second to none (other than xox) long line validity for very pasive user that rarely make calls/sms. I didnt meant about data price and/or validity, sorry for confusing anyone who read
